There was a rumor a while ago that when the North American shows get new dates there will be a new Dallas show added. Or course, that was before the TX abortion law, which Ed spoke about at Ohana…

push the whole thing back a few months at this point and go outside, go back to sheds and add a few ball fields in the mix as well. plenty of bands have been making it work with packed lawns all spring and summer ex: dave matthews band 25+ shows..... but give people something. an email, a "leak", something. to hold peoples money for 2 years with no reasonable end in sight other than a 4 month old email is lacking to say the least. 2016 was a long damn time ago for them to have not stepped foot in the philly area.. IMO its almost like they are losing interest and factoring in ONLY the band cause as many people have mentioned, we all jump at every new shirt, single, RSD release possible without em as it is. there are plenty of bands older, that tour more, hell even the stones had dates this year lol to me it has nothing to do with age, money or time. its general interest.

I think someone has a case of the Mondays.
In all seriousness, they'res a lot of challenges at play.
You can't just switch venues on a tour. People have their tickets assigned already. That's going to get messy cancelling all those tickets and starting over.
The pandemic is still causing problems. Bon Jovi and Bryan Adams had to recently cancel dates because of positive covid cases. This applies to any band touring right now. A single case in the band or crew cancels dates. For all the people travelling into see PJ this would be a disaster to have shows cancelled last second.
It doesn't surprise me at all their being cautious. It feels like the festival shows were a trial run. Hopefully it gives them a little more confidence to play in the spring.
If you're not happy with the band stop going.
I'm hoping they come back when they're ready and I'll keep going to shows until they drop. Hopefully that's longer rather than shorter. I'll be happy when I get to see my first post pandemic PJ show. I'm more than willing to give them some latitude to figure it out the PJ way. Just because I've spend too much money on them in a lifetime, doesn't mean I feel they owe me something. I am grateful for the music and the memories.
If I travel for a show, and they cancel it because a band member got covid…I will totally understand and make the most out of my trip. That’s the risk. Maybe if you live in New York and have tickets for San Diego, you don’t take that risk if that ruins the trip for you. So flying to Europe from the US is the ultimate risk. Shit, I went to Rome in 2018 wondering if the show was actually going to happen when Ed lost his voice…but guess what? I was in Rome. Would have had a great time one way or the other. The following week was Krakow, top 5 show I’ve ever seen, and Ed didn’t have a voice the week prior. Now if it’s a crew member, and the whole band is vaccinated, they shouldn’t cancel if they all test negative on the day of the show.
Give us the dates, let us decide what we are going to do. Cannot accommodate every single person. You think other bands don’t have traveling fans? They should worry about the venue and its organization, but that’s about it. If they don’t want to play, they would not have added an Ohana Weekend. Rescheduled dates plus maybe 2-3 new dates, Europe, Fall dates with a mixture of ballparks and other shows, and apparently South America. That South America rumor didn’t come out of no where…again, they want to play.

Only real rumor I saw was from the promoter? for the Quebec city show saying it was going to be in Feb/March next year.
Hope it's not February.
Praying it’s not February either. Hopefully late March again or later!
Y’know what? I’d take February if it meant actually knowing the dates.

Alright I’m putting this out there - my Ottawa ticket is very average and I feel like it’s at least 50/50 I could improve it - so I am setting a deadline of Nov. 30 for PJ to announce the new dates or I am refunding that ticket. Not that one ticket from one guy is going to impact anything but it’s getting ridiculous.

Just make sure you don't accidently refund STL or Nash
Are there any other bands that have "postponed" and still not announced makeup dates? The only other 2020 postponed tour I had tickets to were the Stones, and they are over a month into their makeup dates.

not really no. even the large scale country acts like kenny chesney which his whole tour is stadiums was already announced for new dates. PJ seems to be the last major act that either hasnt announced new dates for 22 or just adjusted protocol and played in 2021.

They were pretty much the first to cancel too. They're certainly cautious.

Here's an interesting announcement since we were discussing if Videotron Centre in Quebec City had a radius clause preventing a Montreal show...
What, no Brampton? Or Moose Jaw??
