What happened to EV Platinum tickets is not going to translate to PJ tickets if they decided to do Platinum. The demand is there. They will sell out in seconds. Not even a question.
I think so too. First 20 rows for Pearl Jam, especially because those seats haven’t been available regularly to the general public before will be gone quick.
Playing larger arenas the platinum seats won’t be upper deck opposite ends of the arena type seats.
My other favorite band (MMJ) announced today at least!
The waiting drove me mad...
It's getting extra difficult to plan spring/summer travel without knowing these rescheduled dates.. Just bought Foo tickets for October this AM. C'mon Pearl Jam!
"Platinum" is the new norm. It's just TM making more money, so why wouldn't they?
Platinum was already the norm back in 2020 when the tour was announced and they didn't have them. I don't think the band will change that. Platinum tickets are up to the bands to be allowed, not Ticketmaster.
Even before the potential for platinum pricing and interruption of shows due to Covid (both of which exist for now at least), some of the 2020 smaller market shows had far less demand iirc. People were getting OKC, PHX, Denver, etc. with third or fourth options from 10C. Maybe others are right and they'll sell blocks of $500+ seats in minutes. I just don't believe that will be the case outside of the highest demand markets.
Sea Hear Now early bird tickets on sale today.... lineup announcement can't be far off....
It’s probably happened before but ticket sales before announcing a lineup!?
Happened in 2020 as well. Some people on the forum had info that PJ was going to play and a lot of people scored great prices. Not much on rumours with that fest right now as far as I can tell.

They also got a lot more tickets in 2020 as well for the lotto so going that deep might not mean that much compared to other tours. I think the only non sell outs were OKC and Quebec City and even then the whole front was sold out. That is charity tickets included.
Now I am reminded how some shows said 99% and did not move down in odds the whole lotto and people still struck out as second choices. What a mess that draw was.

That’s the model they’ve always used. They release a limited number of tickets before they announce the bands for a reduced price. I was able to get my PJ tix back in 2020 for $125 a piece. I know a guy who knows Danny Clinch’s partner in SHN and he all but confirmed it to me before they went on sale. Basically said… if I were you I’d be buying tickets.

Man we've been hanging on to these same tickets for way too long lol. Can we please just get these shows and move on with our lives! I remember agonizing over getting the Oakland emails to confirm tickets and it was way after other show tickets went through. That sucked!

Before...or cancel forever and refund all.

I hated Sea Hear Now as a festival. It is like the complete opposite of Ohana. Ohana is a beautiful, wide beach with plenty of room for anyone to stand comfortably and have a great view. The Bleachers are even solid seats.
SHN was horrible, entirely too narrow, and having to navigate out of that crowd to use the bathroom, dodging hundreds of people laying on beach towels, was something I never plan to do again.

Damn I loved sea hear now!!
Your opinion should be taken with a huge grain of salt though. You are still on a high from DOTC opening the show.
My MSG source finally got back to me after messaging him twice since Jan 1st. He said Bruce had 3 shows planned for April but moved it to 2023 with many holds. As of a month ago, PJ has “multiple holds for Spring and Fall 2022”. Also said, “one of the few postponed shows that has little to no refunds asked for”. Rage’s 5 shows at MSG were “easily rescheduled” since it’s August. I’m going to bet that MSG is still Fall like previous rumors. Easier to plan with set regular season games for the Rangers/Knicks.

Thanks for the info! I think MSG will be on the fall leg as well.
