Can't believe RATM had to push half their tour to early 2023. Tells me that venue availability/routing is definitely an issue. Holding tickets for Alpine, United Center x 2 and Detroit x 2.
I take that postponement as good news. Quick turnaround on new dates. Maybe the May shows end around the 15th-20th so they have a few weeks open to reschedule any shows that are postponed for a positive test.
Edit: Hopefully it’s about Josh or a band member, not just a crew member. Can’t be postponing for one crew member testing positive

Well that extends the EV tour which theoretically extends when the PJ tour will be announced.
If they haven’t already, management will need to sit down and factor in anticipated postponements to the tour schedule. That may further delay the announcement.
I hope whoever is sick is doing well and recovers quickly!

Obviously was referring to being able to produce the show. Would think that someone in the area has experience to run lights or sound for someone on the crew.
If asymptomatic I think the show should go on and just socially distance. People are going to be catching Covid for next ten years if not longer. I don’t know any facts but just stating my opinion if asymptomatic. This isn’t a job where you can take a sick day for the sniffles (again, only commenting if there are no symptoms). Thousands have paid for tickets and travel.

I think it was Glen---he just posted something on IG.
Are they obligated to Covid testing or are they mandated too? Regardless of the answer now it could be totally different in May.
We don’t rapid test for the flu. And yes I know it’s completely different but eventually we will treat it as such.

I wonder if somehow it could move up the PJ announcement? Like if they were going to announce after EV Seattle maybe now they do so before EV Seattle? One can dream…

One thing is for sure - a lot less people will want to travel to shows with their travel plans seemingly always up in the air with postponements and cancellations around every corner

^ Not that the band necessarily would plan around the traveling fan schedule, but I bet that is a consideration on attendance impacts to their bottom line (merch sales, concessions, etc).
May cases will be a lot more calm. Eddie just had it so he should be safe from catching it again and we do not know if anyone else in the band has had it yet or not. I do not see this hurting any announcement for PJ in the future.
I used the venue open dates method and got all of them squeezed into May. Anyone want to see the list? Unverified, zero inside intel and purely speculative.

It’s the unions behind this requiring daily testing of each performer and crew member. There is no just ignoring if someone is asymptomatic and carrying on as normal as suggested, until entire changes within the industry allow for it.
