    I get the flu shot every year and have for as long as I can remember. It's mainly because my Mom is a (now retired) nurse and she made us all get them. A combo flu/covid shot makes perfect sense to me.

    I would take the combo every year.  I haven't had a flu shot in 3-4 years and got the flu back in January.  I thought it was covid but my test was negative.  It was nasty and well worth a shot.

    i have had the flu shot every year since 1995. it was always mandated due to working in direct patient care. only got the actual flu 3 times in all those years. usually just get seasonal stuff and occasional bad cold during the winter and spring. i have no issue getting the flu shot. now that i am in health care sales, i have to continue to get it annually. has be be verified by all of the credentializing organizations as well.

    Fuck 'em I say.  I have two peers who refuse to get vaccinated.  In the past 48 hours, one had to bail on our trip to NYC for the board of director meeting because he came down with it and is very sick, and the other couldn't go becuase he would not have been able to be in the room or go to dinner due to NYC rules.  So now with this, they'll have yet another choice.

    my guess is it will fall on the employers to pay for the testing. but they may make it so the government reimburses them.

    in my opinion it should fall on the employees who refuse to get vaccinated. start taking money out of their pocket every week and you will be surprised at how fast they change their mind.

    if i had 103 employees and did not want to have to pay to test the unvaccinated ones, i would fire 4 of them to be under 100 employees. but that is just where my head is at with these fucking antivaxxers these days.

    there is one type of medicare supplemental insurance that aca does not negate pre-existing conditions. i think it is the one that joe namath is hawking in tv commercials. forgot the name of it, but next time you see the commercial look that one up. it is sketchy.
