The majority of people in hospital with COVID right now have been fully vaccinated.
That will be a surprise to many people, despite the reassurance of the chief scientist Sir Patrick Vallance that it's to be expected.

So while the protection is high, it's not 100%.

When I opened the above link it said Vallance corrected himself. It's 60% UNVACCINATED.

If it happens again, it most certainly will effect the economy again. And the same people complaining about shutting down businesses etc will be to blame.
I think people not getting the vaccine are certainly the cause for the risk of the economy crashing again and for the fears related to it that was part of the cause for the stock market. People know that there is a large cult group that will not get the vaccine until their Cult of Personality tells them too, and that ain't happening. So they are concerned about the future.
