Look at this. How is this not a miracle that more are focusing on? Yes there is long covid yes it still sucks if you get it for some but the vaccine works. If this data is not enough for some to finally get the shot nothing will be. At this point for me case numbers are becoming less relevant and deaths/hospitalizations are what I will be focusing on going further. Notice the big uptick in deaths with cases last September? That is not even close to an uptick this time around.

Correct me if I’m wrong but from what I understand that if fully vaccinated and get Covid it resembles a cold in most cases.  Is this true.  Because I can deal with a cold.  What I hate most of all is hospitals…I really do.

All of what you say is correct, with qualifications. The data definitely look good in places that have a highish  rate of vaccination, which include Canada and the UK. Unfortunately, Rob is correct that covid is going to rip through the US again, or at least the large chunks that are under vaccinated. Deaths are already up 23% in the last week.

Globally, only 5 countries have 60% or higher of their total population fully vaccinated. That’s a sobering statistic for me. I am happy and grateful to live where I do, with its benefits of great vaccine availability and a mostly willing populace, and also worried for other areas.

It is not about him or I being correct over one another. We both can be. Its about the focus of talk constantly in the negative and nothing on the positive. I know that the low vaccinated states in the US are going to have a hard time this fall. That is inevitable.

You don’t think there has been focus on the amazing effects of the vaccines? I am not seeing that. I think there’s been more of a tendency to dismiss the ongoing impact of the pandemic now that the vaccines are making such an impact.

I guess i am negative as a person.
Im worried. Like people  who can't  have the vaccines or that are on treatment  yesterday i found out 3 people i know have cancer  so i naturally  worried  about those people in this rapid spread.  To me its not all about  the vaccinated

Yes a lot of good work has been done…I’m not sure there is a lot to be positive about in the bigger picture.  And Ontario’s CMO expects cases to rise in the fall and we are getting vaccinated here.  And to me, there is the unknown whether Covid causes long term effects 20 years down the road…so I prefer never to get it…

oh IDK. My thinking is he would think what amateurs they are. Nazis got most of the country to go along.

only 25% of the population voted for fuckstick. believe a decent portion of those arent diehard and were appalled at Jan 6.
    Hope so anyway....

60% of people being admitted to UK hospitals had two COVID jabs - adviser

LONDON, July 19 (Reuters) - Britain's Chief Scientific Adviser Patrick Vallance said on Monday that 60% of people being admitted to hospital with COVID-19 have had two doses of vaccine.

"In terms of the number of people in hospital who've been double vaccinated, we know it's around 60% of the people being admitted to hospital with COVID," Vallance said.

I didn't see where that article specified which vaccines were in that statistic. I can't recall which ones were used mostly in UK. Be safe, get vaxxed because it helps even if it's not 100%. It's free and important.
