Tried out my new trail shoes. Only fell once. Nice running in a rainy forrest.

Cool photos! Are they the hierro? How are they?
Felt great. Didn't even think about the shoes. Can't say anything negative about them.

    Which feels promising.

I DO LOVE THE FITTING FALL COLOUR OF THEM ALSO
Off topic, but there's an american guy called Ryan van duzer I follow on YouTube, he has some running videos but mostly bikepacking. He bike packed from the north to the south of Sweden, it's a great series of videos, it's really made me want to visit and run.

So tomorrow it's 12 hours on a running track for my final race of the year.

For a playlist I'm thinking... 12 hours.... 12 pj albums... There'd be some time left to get into lost dogs too... 🤔

Woah. Good luck. I hope you can zone out and not focus on just running in a circle for 12 hours.

    4 boots + Dark Matter?
    ;)

I have to change the music up, especially on track runs.  You got this covered!

I'll go for 3-4 hours tomorrow and be tired out.  You are a champ!

    Holy shit, that is awesome.
Love that you were able to grind it out to finish that 66th mile against the clock.
Hope you are able to rest those legs.

I did 20 miles this morning.  Cold pool and hot tub.
    Feel good.
Have a 10k race tomorrow AM.
Guessing I'm not gonna feel great, but at least I didn't go 66 miles and have to deal with that pain.  😅

I had to run an 8.30 mile to get that 66th, I just had to start the last lap before the clock hit 12 hours.

    I'm proud of that mile

No more events this year, another busy year in 2025. Definitely going to take a few weeks to fully recover

Ran 21k yesterday. Slow and just to try out the distance again. It takes such a long time. Hard to find an inspiring route.

  • Nice work ^^^
Sometimes the inspiration needs to come from within...like when you run 66 miles on a quarter mile track.

10K went ok today.  Actually beat my time from the last two of these bridge races, which is a surprise.  20 out of 79 in my age bracket.
Almost 5 mins off my PR but I didn't go for it today.  First .8 mile is uphill and I went nice and easy on that.
Should be Taper smooth for upcoming weeks. I tend to enjoy this part of the 12 week training program.
    :)

    That's almost 2.5 hours on feet, that's a good run 👌

    Ha.  That isn't so bad.
I don't have a single picture I like from races.  Not the best faces we tend to make

Excellent, running at night, under the light of a head torch is the best.

Late to the party here.  How did you manage to do this mentally?  That alone is impressive.

Agree.  I don't run all night like you :) but my favorite time is 430 AM, alone except for the deer, head lamp shining the way.

Heck yeah. The dark is strangely very cool. Alone with your thoughts.

My next 24 HR effort isn't until June, but I'm already excited for when night falls in the woods.
