I think this could be a real banger live. Reminds me a lot of Bowie, arctic monkeys, new age type sound
That would be Jeff, I'm sure
If you weren't able to hear it on Sirius with Stone intro try to find...interesting story behind what I had expected based on the clip as well. Not what you expect :)

WOW!!! It’s crazy what this band can do after all these years. I’m stunned right now.

    Love the song!
  • I liked it on first listen, definitely want to listen again now.
Stone’s intro on XM was great, I love hearing the creative process stuff like that straight from the band members!

Wow! So different.  First impression was the David Byrne influences.
Interesting song to lead with. Really makes me want to hear the album now. I feel like they are challenging us with this.

  • I love the song but not sure what to make of it. Too bad Marianne Williamson dropped out of the race - would have been perfect for her campaign!

  • Hate the drums and that it sounds like one guitar through the whole song.
    Stone is playing bass.
  • Appreciate the band trying something different, but this is definitely not my groove. It sounds forced to me.
  • That was aweosme, loved it

Looks like some of you never bothered to listen to the bands Ed wears t-shirts of. I'll take anything fresh over rehashed riffs all day every day.
I agree! I love that they change things up and we always get something different!

I love  it. Moving  forward and new.lyrics  good. Only think matt could have done more. And maybe  stone.  But its good to me
The drums are really bad. It's like they took that 20 seconds of Can't Deny Me where the drums are all processed and no instruments, the worst part of the song, and made the drums for the whole song sound that bad. Matt will play it better live. On real drums, hopefully.

Love it. So into the Talking Heads vibe. I love when they experiment and can’t WAIT to hear this live.

Thanks, but I'm not going to put my credit card info in just to see the video. I'll wait for it to be posted for free elsewhere.

You'd think that it would be posted on this site

Love it.  It is so different and has a funky groove.  Best they have put out in a while.  I like Backspacer and Lightning Bolt, but they are safe compared to this.  It’s out there and experimental, and it’s great.

  • I am really loving the drums.  The snare drum hits remind me a ton of Prince's Linn Drum material from the 80s with that snappy hit.  Very funky
