I simply appreciate  that it is nothing I have ever heard before from them or anyone really...we will see where it goes album wise...is it representative of the entire Gigaton or not?  We wait and see...with great anticipation, which is much more positive than any other musical act that exists today...thank you PJ
Agree. “Who you are” was no representation of No Code,” But they  came put of their comfortzone which is good. Art should progress.

I love It. Fresh.  Very Good song.  Look forward to full album.  Cheers
  • What Madonna songs?!  Seems like a really odd frame of reference when there are loads more obvious comparisons.

Im kinda super into it. Love the Talking Heads vibe. Refreshing to not have a Mind Your Manners/cant deny me style single again. Looking forward to some experimental shit

Hmmm, that video is officially gone from Tidal. There wasn't an audio track, just the video when I first listened last night. Pretty sure it will be the official video, but they obviously jumped the gun. Started with a TV screen with the new PJ heartbeat logo and veered in to scenes of the earth, nature, climate change effects and bees. Yes, lots of bees. Matched perfectly with the music though. The northern lights part was awesome. Honestly, it distracted me from hearing the track fully so now I'll put on some headphone and just immerse in the audio track now posted on Tidal.
    It's a hopeless situation...

  • Love it.  Along with Talking Heads I'm getting a Peter Gabriel vibe from it.  Very 80s.
  • Fired up the Marantz, and ran it through the Heresys at half volume before heading off to work... everything about this track sounds top notch, and I'm really loving the lyrics, too!

    So exciting!

I hated it. Not what I was expecting. Hopefully the rest of the album is better. In all fairness though all the other band I love usually have a song or two I dislike. It just took PJ over 20 years to make one...lol
  • thank u Josh Evans so this time we can listen jeff bass

  • I like it. It’s so different. 30 years in, ya gotta give them credit for trying something so new.

Unlike anything they've done. I appreciate that they still can push themselves and evolve. I love this damn band. I can't wait for the record.

haven't thought about it, but to be honest he has been doing recycling of snippets and themes since Riot Act.  Some very overt, others slightly more subtle or coincidental

    IT’S EVOLUTION, BABY!!!!!

I had pretty damn good expectations after hearing the Bill Simmons clip and they did not disappoint! A total departure from the norm that I welcome with open arms. It’s fresh, the groove is funky, and Ed sounds great and you can tell the lyrics are coming from pure emotion.

Someone mentioned in another thread the clip had a Wesley Willis vibe to it , well guess what? Rock over London, rock on Chicago because this really whoops the llama’s ass! :rock_on:
