  • Yes, but there's a 4-ticket limit for the show so if you won 2 in the fan club lottery, you'd only be allowed 2 more.
They generally are not related. So if I buy 2 TC tix, I can still buy 4 VF tix.
Nope - 4 per acct. I've run into this with the Black Keys previously. Each individual concert is showing with a 4-ticket limit. From the TM help:

When purchasing tickets on our Site, you are limited to a specified number of tickets for each event (also known as a "ticket limit"). This ticket limit is posted during the purchase process and is verified with every transaction. This policy is in effect to discourage unfair ticket buying practices. Each Ticketmaster account must be linked to a unique individual and contain valid, and verifiable, information. Multiple accounts may not be used to circumvent or exceed published ticket limits. We reserve the right to cancel any or all orders and tickets, in addition to prohibiting your ticket purchase abilities, without notice to you, if you exceed or attempt to exceed, the posted ticket limits. Any tickets, cancelled due to violating the posted ticket limit, will be refunded at face value (excluding fees). This includes orders associated with the same name, e-mail address, billing address, credit card number or other information.

East coast shows going below 99% now.  MSG at 80%
This is the most concerning thing. Oh but lets already begin whining about how far back our seats are.
Everyone was expecting odds under 10% for Msg. If I told you they’d be above 50% a week ago, I think everyone would jump at it
  • Newfie, maybe you're thinking of the previous TC experience, where TM was not privy to what you purchased through TC.

If you would have predicted last week that MSG reserved odds would be at 80% 24 hours after the lottery opened you would have gotten laughed out of here.
Yes. I’m happy and thankful it’s still high! I just can’t wrap my head around the constant debates about upgrading and nosebleed seats and “unfair” ticket prices.

I’ve been up front and in the very back before. Close it preferred but it’s not something to get all bent out of shape over, before we even have tickets in hand.
Agreed 100%. And if we're talking MSG even most of the "bad" seats are fine - the sound is good everywhere. I sat on the 300 level barstools for a Radiohead show a few years ago and those were pretty bad, but nobody is getting those in the lottery.

Very true. “Bad” seats at MSG are still better than average ballpark seats. Worst seats for MSG to me are those barstools, the 200s behind each “net” that are under the overhang, and the last few rows of 213/222 where the sound can get a bit blocked from the wall to the left/right. I also am not a fan of the bridge seats but they’re not “bad for the most part. MSG has very few bad seats.
  • I made my request.  All that's left now is to watch the odds plummet for Baltimore and NYC.  I'm guessing the final odds at 70% and 60% respectively.
    Boston (4/10/94), Hartford (10/2/96), Barre (8/22/98), Hartford (9/13/98), Mansfield (9/15/98 + 9/16/98), Mansfield (8/29/00 + 8/30/00), Mansfield (7/2/03 + 7/11/03), Boston (9/28/04), Hartford (5/13/06), Boston (5/24/06 + 5/25/06), Hartford (6/27/08), Mansfield (6/28/08 + 6/30/08), Philadelphia (10/31/09), Hartford (5/15/10), Worcester (10/15/13 + 10/16/13), Hartford (10/25/13), New York (5/1/16), Boston (8/5/16 + 8/7/16), Boston (9/2/18 + 9/4/18)

If they're anywhere over 50% I'd consider it a huge win.

One concern I have with the fan-to-fan sale is that all the tickets will be at face value.  That means by definition, people will always buy the best seat available.  If you have a high member number and get bad seats, you may actually have trouble selling them.  If yours are never "the best" ticket available, they will never sell.  It's not like stubhub where you can lower your price to make the sale happen faster.
Very true and the best way to combat that is to only enter for shows you are certain to attend. I realize things come up, but this is more flexibility than in the past. Previous tours you would have to eat the tickets, end of story.
Oh, I plan to attend anything I put in for.  But I also plan to try to upgrade...  I prefer GA, but would take any seat to guarantee getting in the building.  But my guess is there will be others that upgrade.  Someone with a low number may have decent reserved seats, but finds a hookup with GA tix.  Now they put their tix on fan to fan and I buy those.  Now I have 2 pairs and need to unload my nosebleeds.  Yes, first world problems.
I totally get it if someone wants to keep flipping their way to better seats, but asking for a system that maximizes your tools to do such is a bit much.
Yeah, don't get me wrong.  I don't expect them to accommodate my OCD needs to upgrade 1 section at a time.  But I thought the concept was interesting in that I could end up getting stuck with extra tickets that way.  I can't just dump them for 1/2 off.
Look at it this way - You'll have a much better pool of tickets available to upgrade to and an actual opportunity to move your old ones. This is a huge step forward for someone looking to upgrade.
Yup.  I love this new system, a big improvement.  I just want to make sure I utilize it the best way (for me) possible.  Since it's new, I have to guess a bit.

So are the odds reflective of your chances of getting tickets with MSG as your first priority or does it include all the requests where people put it 2nd, 3rd, etc?
    It always includes all priorities
I know in the past it has...but are we sure that's how it works this year?

I know for a fact that people in 2018 did both 10 club presale and verified fan and got 6 tickets. Maybe it is different now though and not using those shitty MLB ticket sites makes a difference.

I’ll say it again. Amazing band to get Ticketmaster to bend the knee to basically reserve all of MSG and 70% of other venues for the fan club. MSG is gonna be wildddd. There will be fan club members in every seat
Im in for Baltimore, MSG, Nashville, and St Louis. Was trying for OKC but no direct flights from St Louis and that 7.5 hour drive is brutal and expensive to drop a rental car off at a different location

The difference now is TM is running the presale. They didn't know what you bought through TC in 2018.

Newfie is right.  The verified fan limit is 4 tickets.  The 10C limit is 2 tickets.  The verified program is not going to know whether or not you have been granted 10C seats.  Now you will not be able to buy 4 verified fan tickets and then 4 more general sale tickets.  That will get you over the limit on Ticketmaster.

Will be interesting to see. Will that mean that if I get 10C and go into VF, they only allow me to select 2? Or, is it an "on your honor" kinda thing and you run the risk of them doing an "audit" and pulling your tickets down the road.

  • Anyone looking for a ticket buddy for the L.A. shows? I'm registered for both days GA pit tickets. Trying to maximize my chances of attending the show as its the first time theyve been here since 2013

Over $30 for a CD? Wow...
We still don't know how many tracks are on it though.
I called it a double album way back but ,your right ,we dont know how many songs yet
Vinyl is 3 sides with the fourth side etched so definitely not a double album.
