If they do Fenway again, please please PLEASE have an opener. We're happy to start trickling in early, but give us some entertainment.
PJ has a HUGE catalog of music - there's zero reason to have an opener. In fact, I hope they don't - more PJ on stage singing songs we all want to hear.
For my taste, they usually do a great job picking openers. Way more often than not I've been able to see 2 great bands instead of 1. I'd be stoked on The Pixies or IDLES like Europe. More of that, please.

I don’t miss Sleater-Kinney night after night.
Nobody does....

Wrigley available dates August 7th-12th, 14th-16th, 24th-26th September 7th-13th, 21st-24th
Fenway available dates August 3rd-9th, 20th-24th, September 8th-10th, 14th-21st
i agree with PJNB that we really haven’t heard any rumours so I can’t see it happening BUT , you could have said the same thing about a spring NA tour only 3 weeks ago.
We have pegged Wrigley as Sat 8/8 & Monday 8/10 following the scheduling logic of 2016 & 2018
The original Dimi rumor was Fall NA tour and would be related to the election. I would guess they'd want to add a couple of stadium venues also late summer to get the ticket count up so most fans can get in to at least one show. Before the fall evening chill begins.
I'd also guess, based on touring cycles of late, they want at least a month off after Europe concludes.
My guess would be 4 stadium shows in late august followed by perhaps 15 shows after labor day to drum up excitement to dump Trump.
Anyone else find it odd that they would start the tour in Toronto, go east to Ottawa/QC, then back west to Hamilton (which is basically just outside of Toronto)?
Warm Memories of MLB website tech preventing me from buying a pair fenway field box 2018 tickets sitting in my cart. But some might view that as illegitimate complaining, not a statement of historical fact. Whoever got my tix, I hope you enjoyed the show.
I do hope for another Fenway show. With it being reserve only, I would probably get decent seats with my number being 195xxx.
What's your definition of descent? I'm 189xxx and had B4, row 13 and B1, row 12. I'd expect higher demand this year.
*back to thread topic*
That close will work for me.At Wrigley we were a ways back, just because of the GA section. Of course, without GA at Fenway, everyone will be trying to get the same reserve tickets, so I’m not expecting the first few rows.
If stadium shows are happening, it seems weird that no info or hints have been leaked yet by Dimi or anyone here. Doesn't mean they can't or won't happen, but it seems like the rumors that are out there (Chicago DJ, Boston ticket broker) are kind of just people assuming that Wrigley/Fenway will happen since PJ is touring in 2020. Seems just as likely that PJ would play Lolla Chicago in early August, then take 6-8 weeks off before doing a run of US/Can arenas and another fest or two (ACL, Voodoo).

PJ's tour itineraries have made little sense from a logistical standpoint for years. They went from Memphis to Detroit in 2014 as an example. They don't play enough shows to worry about efficient routing. They find the best combination of cities they want to play and venues offering the most money and stitch them together. My guess is that the only reason Ottawa is getting a show is because it is the midpoint between Toronto and Quebec City (give or take).

Yeah that's the header on the website, but the page is the 2018 dates...note the number "2018" after September 2 &4, and note the part that says "Thank you for your interest. Tickets for this event are no longer available."

They wouldn’t be as good as you think. Everyone with lower numbers went in 2018 including me.
If they put the presumed fall ballpark and any other shows in the same lottery as the spring shows, that would level the playing field quite a bit.
When I suggested that back in 2013 I was shouted down on the board. The consensus was that the Wrigley/London shows were a different "tour" than the arenas.
Weren't the arenas announced much later than Wrigley and London in 2013?
In 2013 the Wrigley and London shows were announced months before the fall tour.
It looks like there are only five shows scheduled so far at Fenway. In the last few years they have had 7-8 per year. It is still possible.
I'm not saying its not. Just saying that page from 2 years ago is proof of nothing as all the old pages from the last couple of years can be found and have the 2020 banner at the top.

Yeah but why would they have 2020 there if someone wasn't tinkering with the website in preparation for a future announcement?
