Anyone else find it odd that they would start the tour in Toronto, go east to Ottawa/QC, then back west to Hamilton (which is basically just outside of Toronto)?

Lots of reserved dates at the venues in the region already.
    2016: Toronto I, Chicago I + II
    2018: Seattle I + II, Chicago I + II
2020: Toronto, Ottawa, Quebec, Hamilton, Nashville, St. Louis, Krakow, Budapest, Zurich

On January 2, 1992 I went to see the Red Hot Chili Peppers play in Salem, Oregon at the Salem Armory.  They had a couple of openers....

I do hope for another Fenway show. With it being reserve only, I would probably get decent seats with my number being 195xxx.

i've loved mmj, band of horses, ramones and midlake as openers for pj...but i already knew about all of them before seeing them open.  i don't think i've ever discovered a band i liked from an opening slot for pj.
This show, another show, a show here and a show there.

The band has to be off the stage by a certain time. In 2016, the suggested curfew for Fenway was 10:30 with a fine if they played after 11, IIRC. In 2018, I believe it was a hard stop of 10:30.

So why not have the ticket say 7:30 and not 6:30? If people get in late, too bad.

The exception can be shows like Cincinnati 2014 when there was only one main entrance into the arena. The band was notified and the show started about 20 minutes or so after it was "supposed" to start.

That was Ted Leo and Sleater-Kinney for me. Had heard of them, but hadn't listened to them. Became a fan of both.

Zero interest in watching an opening act waste precious time before curfew at Fenway.
Pearl Jam themselves wasted precious time both nights in 2018. Came out wayyyyyyyy too late
Absolutely agree. Still...they can't go onstage if another band is playing. Yes to going on earlier, no to opening acts.

    Supergrass were fantastic openers.

Love MMJ, Supergrass, Band of Horses etc. But please no openers. 100% agree about starting on time. They cut lolla 2007 short because they were partying with Rodman.

What's your definition of descent? I'm 189xxx and had B4, row 13 and B1, row 12. I'd expect higher demand this year.

    Two Oakland shows?
Dimi said 5 Cali shows... I think 2 in Oakland is more likely than a 4th city in Cali

There's a couple Central Valley towns they've played in the past that haven't had shows in a long time...Sacramento, Fresno.
I would give my soul for a Pearl Jam show in Fresno so I could drive 20 mins home instead of 3+ hours one way. But as a Fresno resident, this shit town doesn’t deserve PJ ever again. The crowds here suck, the venue they would play sucks sound and seating wise. It’s just a disaster here. As much as my lazy ass would love it, Fresno doesn’t deserve it.

But thank you for the shout out.
Sacramento has a new arena that would sure look good with PJ on the stage....it would not shock me if that got worked into the plan....

So does San Francisco, but for some reason everybody has them playing Oakland (and for two shows, lol!). Every hot tour has hit Chase Center since it opened, I don't understand why Pearl Jam wouldn't play there.

If they put the presumed fall ballpark and any other shows in the same lottery as the spring shows, that would level the playing field quite a bit.

Was wondering the same this Darth . . . I don't know that we have a definitive Oakland vs SF.  Anyone have any firmer details?  Dimi . .  . Any clarity in your crystal ball?

Weren't the arenas announced much later than Wrigley and London in 2013?

Yeah why would we want Boston people to have less competition from NYers for Fenway, Philly people to have less competition from Bostonians for CBP and New Yorkers to have less competition from Philadelphians for MSG.
    What a ridiculous idea.

In 2016 They announced Spring and ballpark tours with separate lotteries.  Pretty sure that will be the MO this time.  Ball Parks feel like Wrigley, Fenway, Safeco.  hopefully a little more love sprinkled in the east, possibly after the ball parks.

If they do Fenway again, please please PLEASE have an opener. We're happy to start trickling in early, but give us some entertainment.
PJ has a HUGE catalog of music - there's zero reason to have an opener.  In fact, I hope they don't - more PJ on stage singing songs we all want to hear.  :)
For my taste, they usually do a great job picking openers. Way more often than not I've been able to see 2 great bands instead of 1. I'd be stoked on The Pixies or IDLES like Europe. More of that, please.
    I don’t miss Sleater-Kinney night after night.
