    This isn't about the singles or DEEP. This is about a band treating their most loyal fans with disrespect. We get monthly emails asking us to buy new stuff but they can't address what has already been paid for.

    My theory on this. They planned to make the single b-sides from the new album. Around the Can't Deny Me days they decided to rework the album, leading up to today. The plan is still to make the singles b-sides from the new album, this time with plenty of shelved material to work with. This is the year folks.

     it’s not like lacquers don’t exist anymore. Mastering facilities still have stock. But yeah, There will be some delays, but mainly prices will go up. 

    We’ll probably see a lot less unnecessary pressings (12” singles/novelty records) and less double LPs.

    there is at least some reason to believe this company actually produced the styli that cut lacquers too, which is also a big problem.

    Sorry when I said made what I meant cut. There will be places that have stashes but they dont keep an endless supply.

    Sick of all the unecessary pressing so its a small consolation.

    Cant imagine these singles which will make zero money will be very high up the priority.

    Direct Metal Mastering will most likely be a thing for a bit. There is some fidelity loss, but most people won’t notice. 

    GZ, a plant PJ used for years presses DMM.
