i'm not really sure why people have to get so bent out of shape when someone has a complaint, whether they deem it valid or otherwise. if you agree with it, fine. if you don't, also fine, but you don't have to act all self-righteous in the process.
You need to cut and paste definitions of words like “self-righteous” if you want fit in around here! 😜

A better complaint to the AG would have been that the band hasn’t put out a new album in 6 years.

Dude wrote a state AG's office over late fulfillment of a rock band fan club benefit. If you can't take the piss out of that, I don't know what to tell ya.
Nothing sadder than fans feeling the need to put down and be condescending towards other fans, for caring about issues regarding the club.

The state AG's office is who handles consumer complaints. I am a consumer. I have a valid complaint. You don't have to agree nor do you have to worry about other valid complaints being overlooked.

Just curious... what is the disposition of your complaint?  Is the AG taking any action against the ten club?

i generally try not to take the piss out of anything. it's just funny how people rag on someone for caring so much about something as to complain about it, yet they care enough to take the piss out of someone caring about said thing.

people don't see the irony in that?

    What's obnoxious about it exactly?

You do know these singles have not been produced and delivered for like... 2 years now? Or is it even longer?

There is no greater act of caring than a completely disproportionate attempt to fuck with the fan club of a rock band you claim to love. I want to see the order history of every person wringing their hands over this.

Just like I don't have to complain, you don't have to read my complaints. Did you think this thread was going to turn around to the sunshiny place you want it to be? I have every right to complain and these are all valid complaints.
Some Slack channel for Attorneys General must exist where they share all the goofy shit that comes across their desk. You've at least given hearty chuckles to some hard working public sector employees.
    Does that exist?
This public employee says yes, absolutely. But that's in Canada. ;)

i don't think many are wringing their hands over this. i think there are a very minor few, and people come here to bitch and complain about the ones they perceive as bitching and complaining and act as if it's the majority.

it annoys me that it's so frickin' late. does it keep me up at night? no. it's a valid complaint, whether you like it or not.

I thought the AG complaint was a bridge too far when we first heard about it. But I won't lie, I'm glad it actually forced Tim Bierman to comment on the issue.

Jokes aside, if I were Tim and I had the complainant's name, I'd recognize his concern, issue a refund of the 2 years of dues, and cancel his membership.

I just want to know if the AG’s investigation ends with no arrests does that mean we won’t see anymore posts from all the legal scholars here declaring “breach of contract” and “fraud”?

I'd tell him/her how truly sorry I was. Refund the two years of dues, giving the single for free and not feel any need to cancel any membership. Because the fucking up and radio silence on the matter would be on me.

Complaining or not complaining, its not like either has an effect. So good job everyone?

  • People kept saying if you really care about the issue, do something about it. Someone tried to do something about it, and the same people say woah that is too much? Ha
