Picked up a couple bottles of Stagg batch 23b today. It's not my favorite, but not a bottle I would turn down when offered.
I'd be happy to find any batch of Stagg.  Not sure which one I have, but it's at least 3-4 years old.  Very, very rarely will I have a little taste because I know i'll never find another one.
  • I've been offered another Parkers Heritage 16th edition. I traded the last one away. I'm not sure I like it at 175$ (msrp). I will probably buy it and see what I can trade it for.

Just got a Black Art delivered.  Can't wait to have a taste!
  • I walked into a corner store to get lunch yesterday and they had Blantons, Weller special reserve, Eagle Rare and EH Taylor small batch. I went with the Taylor.

That’s my favorite of those four. However I guess I’m pretty lucky because BT doesn’t hit my palette like much more findable and affordable stuff. Would much rather have HH, Makers, or Barrell products. Visited BT in September and it was a good time.

Eventually, after the new facilities are fully online, you'll find stacks of all the BT products at your local grocers and gas stations.

I live in a controlled state. All MSRP. 45$ I think.

I was at the distillery a few months ago. Buffalo trace was well stocked both times I visited in the afternoon. I wasn't interested in getting there early and waiting in line for the other bottles they have daily.

I have single barrel bottles of Buffalo Trace store pick from the grocery stores around here. I see buffalo Trace everywhere. Weller? Not so much.

With new national distributor you're going to see more BT in places you haven't seen it before.

I always thought it was perceived scarcity and they did it on purpose.

It's a very good bottle of whiskey. I saw it on the shelf the other day but passed. I've purchased way too many bottles lately.

I’ve been buying a bottle every two weeks and still can’t keep up with everything I want. Luckily my wife likes whiskey too or else I’d be in big trouble!

Top 3 bottles I picked up yesterday. The High West Campfire I had on Thursday and it was really good. Haven't tried the other two yet. The Larceny I had at a friend's house yesterday and loved it. Very hot but still smooth.

I'm in an FB group that announces the daily pick. There are some days where people show up at 1pm with no line and there are tons of the pick on the shelves. ER and Col T most recently.

  • I don't bourbon hunt anymore. I am willing to wait for supply to catch up to demand. I have a few bottles of Blanton's, an EHT, ER, Weller SR and Antique 107 as my rarities. BT and some others are just fine for me right now.

Honestly I have enough bourbon to last me a few years right now. I went nuts.

20 minutes ago someone posted that there is no line and plenty of Blanton's on the shelves

The lines generally thin out once everyone finds out what is available for the day. Since you can only buy one bottle of Blanton's/ER/EHT/WellerSR every 90 days there will be an exodus of those who can't purchase.

Ahhh.  They are looking for the rarer stuff to be offered. Last bottle of Blanton I bought was like $65 so its been a bit since I even bothered…

what's odd to me is that they only offer the Weller SR as a "rare" selection. I guess it's rare in the sense that you can't find any around here but it's a $24/bottle screw top.

Last time I was there I scored Blanton's
