I really like the McKenna 10. If either of you don't like it, I'd be willing to take it off your hands!

I picked up a couple bottles of Russells 13. Hopefully batch 4 is as good as batch 3.
You lucky bastard! =) I would love to try that juice. I'm hoping to find a bar, that has a pour!

How did they do it? People got to pick a bottle in order of the number they were given? How many times around could you go?

Raffle where everyone in attendance got to pick one bottle of their choice.
Followed by a 2nd chance raffle with tickets from the purchase of private barrel bottles.

We do this sort of event 3 times a year for loyalty members.

Sounds like a good time. Looks like you can't really walk away a loser.

I wish our local would do this.  I don't have anything closer that is big enough to do it though.

We had all of the Buffalo Trace leftover so I've been putting it out one bottle at a time.

    Nope no BT barrel picks.
The Eagle Rare were barrel picks. Had a few left but they went back in to the vault.

I wonder what the mark up will be?  They're listing it at $150.

I bet it's going to be a bigger mark up than the recent Jack Daniel's recent releases (10,12 year, double barreled, limited...), Russel's 13, etc.
I think that also depends on how much they have and how much they are releasing.  Either way, I bet it's going to be pricey on secondary.

I went to a friend's house this weekend for a fantasy football draft.  The dude has a HUGE collection.  Probably less than 10% of the bottles have been opened.  Sad to see!

I would estimate that upwards of 70% of the Blantons is sitting unopened on dudes shelves.

I don't understand that at all.  I mean, he has some killer bottles that have never seen the light of day.  I prob have ~120-125 bottles in my collection.  The only ones that aren't open are those that I have multiples of.  100% of all originals are open.
