Everything HRC did the moment her husband won the presidency was designed to get her into that same spot years later. I think that's the main difference between someone like her and someone like Bush Sr who nearly lost his life serving this country.

And, of course, his list of accomplishments in government vastly overshadowed hers anyway.

Trying to pick up where I'm advocating support for Clinton here?  What I will say, again, is that there's nothing needed to be qualified to go to voters in PA, WI and MI - hubris keeps you from doing so and going to Georgia and Arizona instead.

Her policy for improving Obamacare had my vote alone, though.

She was qualified for sure.  Most qualified?  I personally don't think so.  I believe governors are generally more qualified than senators....they are the presidents of their state.

Hillary is:
1) Well educated
2) Practicing lawyer (Childrnes defense fund?)
3) Former First lady
4) Senator
5) Secretary of State

So - education...understanding of the law...understanding of white house activities...won statewide election...was part of an admin in one of if not the most important assignments (my opinion).  All good.

But if we are talking ever?  There were some highly qualified presidents way back.  I think you could easily include her in the discussion...and it's not unreasonable to pick her.  But personally I think it's either Jefferson or Monroe.  But I'm probably forgetting someone!

I think the point was that qualifications do not get you elected, at least when your name has been smeared enough to leave a bad taste in everyone's mouth just saying it. It's hard to argue against her when nothing she was or is even compares to president shitbag. It doesn't even matter who's "qualified" for the job. Look at Clinton in '92, Obama in '08, and Trump in '16. They were all less "qualified" than their opponents. But they were all good public-speakers and they type of people that voters can become a "fan" of.
