President Trump offered a direct ear to the black caucus.
This pandemonium is getting weird over every single thing he says. People are going to drive themselves nuts - it's been three weeks people.

I've listened to pretty much everything that has come out of his mouth. Why, you ask? I want to be informed. It is my belief that he is not fit to be president. No, I am not. I did my homework prior to voting & it was clear as fucking day that I would not vote for him. But, I did my homework. I gave him as much of a shot as anyone else.

The congressional black caucus sent Trump a letter requesting a meeting 3 weeks ago. They never received a response. A "well run," "brilliant," or "astute" management team would have spoken to Trump about it and replied in kind. A true leader would have scheduled a meeting and listened to their concerns. A racist? 1. His comments about Mexican being rapists and criminals ("and I assume maybe some that aren't) was certainly bordering on racism.
2. The fact that he is anti-Islam is racist. No he's never said "I hate Muslims" but it's the discriminatory actions that make clear what he (and his puppet master Bannon) believe. Religious intolerance is no different than hating black or brown people.

I do believe that Trump ran a racist campaign. I don't know if I believe that Trump the man is a racist, but Trump the candidate and the President plays on fears of other races. When he says Mexicans are sending criminals and rapists, the logic of that is to play on the public's fear of losing their country to Mexicans. When you say that a religion is at war with us and that you're proposing restricting access to people of a certain religion from certain areas...that's racist. When you actually make a preference in refugees coming from one religion over another, it's racist.
