Hey, I'm all for it in theory and sometimes appropriate in practice...but a married president getting a BJ from anyone but his wife (not to mention the role - roll? - of the cigar)?

    Nope!

We just thought it was very funny. No one went out and got a BJ that night because the prez did.
    I don't think I suggested that...

    ...or did I?

The whole primary is going to be a major shit-show. Slinging mud fighting to appeal to the extreme right until a nominee is chosen, then swinging to the middle to appeal to the people who are reasonable... Nuts.

Hillary Clinton was the original "birther" so at least she will be able to maintain a degree of consistency.

Technically Israel is not a foreign country, since we're okay that they spy on us and release information to our congressmen.

The NYTimes had an article about the religious right trying to coalesce around one candidate for this cycle. They believe these to be inalienable truths:
    1. During the primary, religious conservatives knocked each other off, leaving Mittens
    2. During the general, a moderate republican suppressed the vote of true conservatives.

So they are trying to unite behind one to ensure that's the general candidate. Many think this is a waste of time because of the big money donations Jeb or someone like that can generate, creates an advantage that is insurmountable That could very well be true. I just don't see how Cruz, Santorum or someone like that can win a general election.

santorum nearly won the nomination last time. won a few primaries. cruz is the male palin. he is a laughingstock right now.

let's not forget, jeb has a family fortune at his disposal too.

Tough to see a good candidate when you have hate in your mind,A rattle snake around your neck, talk in jibberish and think real history is what's written in the book.
These religious zealots of all faiths are such hypocritical ass wads.

“I think Gov. [Mike] Pence has done the right thing,” former Florida governor and likely 2016 contender Jeb Bush said in a Monday interview. “I think once the facts are established, people aren’t going to see this as discriminatory at all.”

I'm sure you saw that he backed away from his Hugh Hewitt comments while at a fundraiser in Silicon Valley. He is in a box. He has to support it for the religious right and is getting pressure from businesses which tend to be socially liberal, economically laissez-faire. What we have is the continued manifestation of the unholy alliance between social conservatives and business. Their intents are inherently at odds. They don't always clash, but when they do, it makes it very difficult for people not named Santorum.
