Made in America - Kanye and Kings of Leon the headliners this year in Philly. no interest in that.

anyone making any treks for this Midwest PJ tour? still contemplating but not a lot of cities to get excited about visiting. Memphis might be cool. Wish they were playing Louisville. very underrated town.

Yeah I'm gonna go to Denver. Something new. I've never been there. Legal weed. Last year I was kinda disenchanted with the Philly 2 show I was at. Felt like the same old thing. Maybe cause I've seen like 15 PJ shows in Camden/Philly
I would like to go to the Denver show too but it's a Wednesday right? I think the only weekend show is fucking Detroit.

I'll be skipping this one probably...
Yeah the Wednesday thing sucks but it's par for the course these days with this band. I'm gonna fly out Tuesday night after work and fly home Friday morning. I'll only miss three days of work so that's not bad.

my brother does that stupid fan duel fantasy game. like a one day fantasy game instead of a league. the fucker picked beckett specifically because he was going up against the phillies. and he voluntarily texted this info to me 5 minutes after the game ended to gloat. if we were in person with him, i swear i would've punched him in the face. that's the same thing as betting against your own team.

    he's a fraud. i disowned him as a brother.

Showed poise? More like he made the Bombers his bitch on short rest. I love that game. I was watching it with a couple of Yankees fans and it was a delight.

    Let's relive it shall we?

I noticed from the Beckett box score that Howard has a worse BA than Pablo Sandoval. that's weak.

I hate the Yankees, but I think I hate the fact that the fucking Marlins organization has won 2 titles in the last 20 years a little more.

before yesterday Ryan has been really bad in May but even with that he is still on a 32 home run 103 RBI pace...not that people around here think home runs and rbi's matter.

scarier than Ryan's numbers are the Phils have used 2 young (#youthmovement) reserved middle infielders this year that are a combined 6-73 (.082 ba) in Galvis and Hernandaz. throw in 2 other back up infielders they have used this year in Jason Nix and Reid Brignac and it brings their backup infielder totals up to 13-117 (.111 ba). impressive numbers.

why would you compare howard to two really young reserve players? when people say they want this team to get younger, they're not talking about these guys. these are guys you would want to develop into serviceable utility players.

I obviously like howard more than most but he has no more excuses now. he's healthy for the first time in 3 years and he's just not performing nearly as well as they need him to to be a halfway decent team this year. here is where he ranks among just first basemen:

    avg- 20th
hr- 12th (among all hitters, he is 37th)
rbi- 9th (among all hitters, he is 25th)
    obp- 19th
    slg- 16th
    so- 1st
    bb- 13th

gotta be better. hopefully he heats up, consistently, soon...

wasn't really a direct comparison just pointing out the horrific numbers from galvis and hernandez. the good news is our best prospect is still in the minors while the 2 guys given a chance before him are hitting at an impossibly low rate to this point.

agree 100% on Ryan to this point. I thought he was ok to good in April but has just been bad in May before yesterday. don't have the numbers but seemed like walked alot more in april than recently. to me he just needs to drive the ball more. i've never been one to care what his batting average is (or strikeouts...the most overrated thing mentioned with ryan). he needs to hit more home runs and drive in runs.

I agree on the strikeouts with Howard but he has got to hit for a higher average.

It sucks that Asche got hurt because he was playing good ball over the last few weeks. He's a guy who you hope can be a starter (probably at a different position) for the foreseeable future.......and if that doesn't pan out, I can see him being similar to what Greg Dobbs was in his prime.
