sure side shows would be great but the contract I would think is the issue here, and maybe if they sell out they will announce a few shows too. Don't be too quick to judge.

    a show is a show.

the complaints on price are understandable. I would be going only to see PJ...nothing else of interest so that would make it a pricey ticket.....but in real terms you are paying to see a lot of acts and that's why the price is on the high side

But all the other acts are CRAP

That's a bit harsh, Mudhoney put on a great show, although they've been out here a few times recently and a big crowd doesn't seem to be their audience from my experience, they're much better in a small venue
I don't mean to offend anyone, a lot of what I say should be taken with a grain of salt... that said for most of you I'm a stranger on a computer on the other side of the world, don't give me that sort of power!

Im sorry I don't agree. Its a stage, and a crowd, and its a festival.

Its a show, and its a PJ show.

I couldn't give a damn where it is Id be there. Would it be better in an arena ? yes, but that's not on offer.

perhaps to you, and perhaps to me too, but there will be plenty folk who those bands appeal to.

I saw PJ at Hyde park 3 years ago, and the support bands were not my cup of tea, except for Gaslight, but it was still a fantastic day out.

Until they post on the forum or via email, "There will be no sideshows on this tour of Australia" , I'm going with there will be sideshows....

I would of thought on the email I got from 10c abt the BDO presale that they would of said "Pearl jam will not be doing sideshows on this tour blah blah blah..."

    it does? so be it.

I remain of the view that there will be a stage, a band playing, and a crowd watching them. That the days will sell out, and people will have a great time watching them. perhaps that wont include you, and if you a fan, that's a shame.

Id watch these guys play anywhere, and Ive read all about BDO

So in one day you get to see Blur, Pearl Jam, Tame Impalla, Snoop, Arcade Fire, Mudhoney, the Naked and Famous, DIIV, and the Lumineers? That's a great lineup for one day. Better than you'll see at any other festival over the course of a single day. Lots of collaborating I bet.

I guess you guys would rather have no show at all though right?

I'd rather wait a year or two and see them do an Oceanic tour.
