Eddie Vedder To Perform Solo at 12.12.12 Concert For Sandy Relief
    November 27 2012

Eddie Vedder announces he will perform solo at the 12.12.12 Concert For Sandy Relief. Other artists performing this evening include Jon Bon Jovi, Billy Joel, Alicia Keys, Paul McCartney, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, Roger Waters, Kanye West, and The Who. This special one night only live music event will help provide assistance to the millions of people throughout the tri-state area who have been affected by Hurricane Sandy, "12.12.12" the Concert For Sandy Relief will occur on December 12, 2012 at Madison Square Garden in New York.

I feel bad for every one who traveled to see Ed solo :( To bad they didnt update this post as quick as they delete ebay links :(

But that is just a tiny bit of misfortune compared to the devistation Sandy brought. Sure nice to hear they raised a record amount of help for those who can use it.

    EPIC!

I feel fortunate to have been able to witness this moment. Finally, those two ...

Does the look on Vedders face say, 'f&ck ya or holy s**t or seriously or i'll take it from here'

I'm thinking his thoughts when looking at Roger have something to do with the phrase 'thank you' AS HE IS having flash thoughts in pictures. Am I over thinking this ?

    EPIC!

I was at the show. I thought Eddie nailed it!
Definitely one of the highlights for me. Obviously, wish he was out there for more than one song.

It absolutely was epic. Ed's voice was spectacular. Anybody besides me wondering what was written on his left hand by his thumb at minute 1:32 though? Looks like "OUT OF . . ."? Eggs, milk . . . time, perhaps?
And the sun it may be shining . . . but there's an ocean in my eyes

Probably the lyric "Out of the corner of my eye" and maybe a reminder for him to do something or stop doing something...some sort of reminder/cue?

Speedy i fucking love the Who i really really do but at this point i'd rather remember them the way they were 1st time i saw them back in 79 it just doesn't do it for me anymore , i've seen them probably 12 times since then and the best show ever for me was the next show they ferformed after the Cincy tragedy up in New Haven Conneticut .....

I have seen The Who, like yourself, many, many times, starting in 81.
The show I saw last month, was just outstanding! I think Daltrey sounded outstanding, and Pete can still put on a show. The Stones on the other hand? They looked ancient last night.

Being there, seeing all of that, I'm still taking it all in! I have wanted to see Pink Floyd Soooo badly for years. Comfortably Numb is my favorite PF song. EV is my favorite singer....talk about Heaven!!! I loved seeing all the bands I have never seen before, and getting to experience one of the most amazing shows ever...in terms of total rock greatness being in the same place at the same time.

  • Why only 2 songs for the Stones?
Why did they not perform much later in the show?
They surely get to share the "Top Billing" with Sir Paul. Right?

I wonder what that was all about?

they were supposed to get 3 but the show was running late and Bushemi had to do that piece on the firemen

    This.

I thought Ed was wonderful and kept trying to imagine what it must have meant to him to have the opportunity to sing The Wall with Roger Waters at MSG. Of course I wanted more, but just what I got was worth the price alone.

I think the same, what an experience it must have for Ed to get to sing with Roger Waters. I think it was truly emotional. Yesterday’s performance reminded me of Live at the Garden, when Eddie says “This proves that dreams could be a good thing…”
If I knew where it was, I would take you there.

  • I like The Who as well, but Daultry doesn't sound that good anymore. But I thought Jagger sounded fine.

Anyway, I'm so glad Ed sand with Waters instead of The Who. :corn:

I enjoyed seeing and hearing Ed. Do I wish he had performed his own,
    yes I do.

Just a little pinprick ... fuck that

the child is grown the dream is gone
My heart already heavy ... heavier for that performance.

I'm thankful though it was not Mother... grasp the small favors.
