    I'd agree. I'd also say that Obama's foreign policy has been .... lacking. It;s too bad we don;t have a strong leader that has a brain.

    Definitely. But how you choose to respond is always up to you...therefore, I believe the majority of the reason this occurred is their religion, Islam. But I see your point.

    Personally, I think the president has played this very well.

    He's not come out Gunz Blazin' which would just make a bad situation worse. He's shown us that the US will not sink to that level and he's managed to make steps to stop more from happening. All without assigning blame or appearing weak.

    I'm not blaming him. I just don't think he's shown the leadership he needed to throughout Arab spring, Lybia, Syria...etc. Someone posted about Mitt's response, I just commented that I believe our president's response has been equally pathetic. US Embassy's is US soil...they killed an ambassador in Lybia.....

    And it hasn;t just been him, it's been the office of the president for a decent amount of time.

    anyhoo...it's super easy to say Obama didn't do enough...now the hard part: tell me what Obama should have done differently during the Arab spring...? what sort of leadership should he have displayed...?

    He's the president and his role in this it to first of all ensure the safety of the people working over there, to try to defuse the situation and to not put any more people in any more harm.

    He shouldn't have bee invisible. But really I don;t care, that's in the past.

    The point is now, Obama should say that attacking innocent people because of a YouTube movie is beyond ridiculous. The behavior is barbaric. And hiding behind their faith and using it to kill is barbaric. Their actions paint their religion as barbaric. If it is barbaric, then by all means, continue to kill over a youtube video, but know we will respond in kind. If it isn't barbaric, then take your religion back from the nutjobs. We support freedom of religion, but not the manipulation of religion to kill in the name of any God.

    It's a similar message the republicans need to hear about the religious right.

    EDIT: and to be fair, perhaps he will do this once people in the are are safe. So, I'm jumping the gun on his response probably. I'll wait and see.

    What we should do is obvious to me, lets look at history, 16 of the 18 terrorist from 9/11 were from Saudi Arabia, so we attacked Iraq, Brilliant, they never saw that coming. U.S. Embassy in Cairo gets attacked, we attack Iran!
