Oh yeah, they were extremely loud. On a different note, anyone notice the band at the other stage, later on Sunday night, female singer who looked like Ozzy Osbourne. Who was that?

Considering they hadn't been here for 3 years before it, they really really brought it. I can't wait for a boot. This show was unreal. Great crowd, great energy, great rainfall off and on, Ed was phenomenal, Mike sounded incredible, I mean insert any superlative you want and it's probably accurate. It's not often they do hits shows like this. It rivaled the Spectrum in every way but set length. Bruce Springsteen more than made up for that the next night by doing an almost 4 hour show though.

This was a show I never thought in a million years I'd attend.
I'm NOT a hip hop fan and I'm NOT a festival fan, but my sister talked me into jumping in the car with her the night before and just driving to the show. (Like I needed that much persuasion lol)
This was her first PJ show, heck I didn't even realize she LIKED Pearl Jam until she talked me into going lol.
I picked us up some tickets online and got an AMAZING deal on a hotel for the night of the show too. ($100 for the Marriot on Market street).
We pulled into town shortly after lunchtime on the Sunday after driving late into the night and sleeping in the car because we could not find a room ANYWHERE. Even the shitty fleabag motels were booked. Stupid long weekend lol.
After laying down for a bit to rest up for the show we freshened up and went to the show.
We ran into Caroline (the girl Ed dedicated Come Back to at the Ottawa show) and her 6 year old son on our way in. We ended up hanging with them on the front rail Mike's side, but way off to the side where it was way more relaxed.
Run DMC were AWESOME! Mike was standing side stage taking pictures. He really likes his newish camera.
I didn't even realize this was their first show of them band members was killed. :( they brought it! LOVED it!
Drake was ok, not really my cup of tea, but the little girls around me seemed to be really into him and I gotta say they were all really respectful and everything. No crowd problems at all. Ok just one small thing. After Run DMC My sister left to get a beer and like a minute after she walked away a guy came out from the middle of the crowd and puked right where my sister had been standing a minute earlier. (Right behind me). Thank you to security for giving us a cardboard box to put over the vomit so we didn't step in it and it also helped with the smell.
Luckily some people left before Drake and I moved down the rail closer to the main stage itself and away from the puke. More people left after Drake so over we slid again.
Now time for PJ and wow did they BRING IT! I had the best time. I had lots of space to move and dance as did Caroline's son. Security was great with him, letting him sit on the barricade with his mom holding him. (he was not blocking anyone). He got 2 Mike pics. I got one too.
I haven't heard Comatose in a long time it was nice to hear that one live again. Same thing with Know Your Rights and Love Reign Or Me. I have to admit I even enjoyed 99 problems even though it was kinda trippy seeing PJ playing that. The crowd was REALLY into it and that's all that matters.
Despite the off an on rain during their set I had a great time. I was coming off a shit work week so I REALLY needed that show. It was nice to share this part of my life with my sister. Nobody in my family understands my obsession but she is now starting too.
As soon as the show ended she turned to me and said "Wow that was incredible! We gotta go see them again!"
I'm sure you'll be seeing her at a future show with me. Might even bring my 19 year old Nephew (her son) to a show one day. He was pretty jealous that she was at the show with me lol.
It's a pity that I have to wait until next year to see them again.

LOL ACCBootleggoddess,
We were right next to you. I happened to look over there when the guy puked and saw the poor girl who was there get her feet splattered on. Got some good shots of Mike enjoying Run DMC. I had a shirt on that matched my avatar if you saw us. Glad I went to. Was a fun show.
does anyone know when the bootleg will be available?

Normally PJ does not release bootlegs from festival appearances, right?
Really hoping they release this one. It could be the official Greatest Hits Live bootleg.
Think we'll get this show?
