  • I love that most people who supported Zimmerman are posting articles describing MURDERS. And MUDERERS going to jail for life.

There are some events that i simply have a difficult time letting go.

I know i am one person and more than likely unable to make a difference.

That being said...i will keep sharing intil my last breath

those of you carrying on saying obama is pulling the strings on this thing need to step away from the fox news. i am embarrassed for you.

Obama holder sharpton jackson media. put the string out there.
where is your proof that obama has anything to do with this?

he answered ONE question about it at an unrelated press event.

rush fucking limbaugh and geraldo rivera do not count.

    When he said
“If I had a son, he would look like Trayvon,” Obama continued. “I think [Martin's parents] are right to expect that all of us as Americans are going to take this with the seriousness it deserves and were going to get to the bottom of exactly what happened.”

Obama also called the incident a “tragedy,” adding, “I think all of us have to do some soul searching to think about how something like this happens.”

This is how he turned this into a race issue....instead of acting like a President he acted like Al and Jessie....Soul searching?
There is no denying Obama is a racist. That was known after he said the police acted stupidly, not knowing anything about the case.

obama is not directing the justice department to do anything. again, do yourself a favor and get off of the right wing blogosphere. all it does is blacken your heart and make you more angry at things that are not there.

obama has empathy for the parents and family, which is something you all on the right are lacking apparently. any time a 17 year old kid is shot in the heart and killed, it is a tragedy. especially under sketchy circumstances like the ones in this case. this was a serious incident, and trayvon's civil rights may have been violated. the president has a right to show empathy, and the naacp has a right to ask the justice department to investigate this case.

al and jesse are standing up to the racists out there that are just going to blow this off. they want to bury it because it threatens their precious "stand your ground" law. if there were no al or jesse, the little black kid in sanford who got killed would have no voice. there would have been no arrest. there would have been no charges, there would have been no trial, and there would have been no verdict exposing the incompetence of the system in florida.
have you seen the interviewer with the juror? my shoe has more intelligence and reasoning than she has. have al and jesse not been calling for peaceful protest? they have not been calling for the buffoons in oakland to riot and break shit, and that is the truth.

you call obama a racist? why? for pointing out that the system is unfair to african americans? how is it racist to point out that the number of african american males in prison is significantly higher than all other groups? that is making a statement. a statement of fact. not some racist opinion.

am i a racist when i want justice for trayvon and i want answers? i am a white guy, so that will probably answer my own question. if i were a black guy asking for justice for trayvon, would i be a racist or reverse racist or whatever you want to call it, in that case?

this post had nothing to do with, if you are a racist...

How is it unfair? He was a punk who had his day in court...and now you want to use the excuse the jury was not intelligent enough to be jurors? You grasp at anything. If true, they were not intelligent than at least it was a jury by his peers. How intelligent can someone be getting suspended three times in one year. His mom kicked him out of her house because she could not control him. Do you know what they do with skittles and arizona Iced Tea?

Obama should keep his personal opinions to himself....he may not be racist but he loves to act as if he is, he likes to see Americans fighting amongst each other. If not he would not stir things up with uninformed comments.

I eat skittles and drink iced tea. What other applications are out there for them?

Skittles can be used as ear plugs at concerts when there are no ear plugs to be had.

Reports have it that many in Boston used Skittles in their nostrils to survive during the 'Great Boston Chowder Puke Disaster'.

aerial, how is trayvon a punk who got his day in court? he was not gonna even get a day in court if it weren't for people like me and obama and jesse and al calling for it and demanding it. the police let him go for 44 days. 44 fucking days. if your kid gets shot in the heart, dies with no charges filed, how would you react? would you put your head down, your hands in your pockets and say "awww shucks, guess he was asking for it..." or would you stand up and demand an investigation. everyone has a right to an investigation. had obama said nothing, there would have been no investigation. without public pressure there would have been no investigation. and you are calling obama a racist for having an opinion on a SOCIAL and CIVIL RIGHTS issue??? because presidents should just shut the fuck up, right? like LBJ and the voter rights act and other civil rights legislation. because clearly we needed no such laws, right?

i eat skittles and drink tea as well. what do they do with them??

the only reason you are upset is because the president is looking out for the little guy, whom you refer to as a thug, instead of just letting things go a long as they are. am i correct? what was your opinion of lbj and his legislation? because he was a white guy was that easier to understand and agree with? or are you opposed to it like rand paul is?

They let him go because the FBI was investigating it also. The FBI along with the local police department found nothing to charge Zimmerman with yet. I was all politics.

"Bill Lee, who testified Monday in Zimmerman's second-degree murder trial, told CNN's George Howell in an exclusive interview that he felt pressure from city officials to arrest Zimmerman to placate the public rather than as a matter of justice.
"It was (relayed) to me that they just wanted an arrest. They didn't care if it got dismissed later," he said. "You don't do that."

Obama could tell Holder to quit inciting violence...Holder is bitching about the stand your ground law (he is no better than Al and Jesse) when the defense did not rely on the "stand your ground law, they relied on Self defense". No president should comment on local law cases they know nothing about. Those that look up to this racist believe what he says even though he has no facts.

He was going to turn the skittles and tea into a the latest drug made popular by Rappers.... telltale sign that he was using these ingredients to make Sizzurp (Lean), is that they were both unopened. the time between surveillance video at the gas station and the conflict was a good 40 minutes despite the gas station being less than a mile away. Why is Trayvon not eating or drinking his candy and tea?

So the discussion should switch from... Race and stand your ground to...... do people have a right to defend themselves...

That's it? That's your reasoning for this guy being a user of drugs? He didn't open his purchases whilst walking back from the shop?

I don't either, certainly not all the time, does this make me a druggie too or do I get a pass because my skin color is white (well red, but only because we've had a grey summer)

That is such a stretch it is borderline crazy. How you can draw parallels from the bag of not opening skittles and ice tea, I mean who makes this stuff up.

    Humanity really is dumb

Trayvon had his day in court? :? I guess if you consider Zimmerman a juror, sure. He decided to hand down the DEATH PENALTY for a fist fight. The only person who judged Trayvon was Zimmerman, and Zimmerman proved to be a bad judge and juror.

You say there is no question that Obmama is racist, then you say he might not be... :? Which is it?

Again, everyone is arguing the wrong thing here, in my opinion. We should all be upset about the stupid stand your ground law...that's what made Zimmerman not guilty. And we should be upset at the stupid, gang/thug/tough guy culture that rules most urban areas and lives especially strong in the African-american community.

Good points Cincy. I agree. I asked a few pages back - how would this case have been different a few short years ago, before the stand your ground law went into effect. Zimmerman wouldn't be at home right now trying to write chapter one.

Once again, I value the reasonable and well-thought-out posts in this thread...from cincy and many others here.

While I understand the pissed off state of some (and not just online), I have no choice but to call out the itchy and short-sighted dipshits who thought - "Hey! Let's display our frustration by fucking with local businesses, robbing tourists, breaking shit, and beating a few".

Those fucking assholes are no better - maybe even worse - than the one(s) against whom they're "protesting".

    Bloomin idiots.

Most of the people you describe aren't truly affected by the outcome: these are generally the types that look for any excuse to behave poorly. They are idiots- pure and simple.

It honestly seems that all these people that are doing the "complaining" about this trail, I am talking about most in this thread have not listened to or followed this case/trial and all and have relied on "their" media to spoon feed their information.

Which is, if you have been paying attention, what the defense (GZ) used in this case/trial...

Just as a bit of trivia, sizzup is made from cough syrup, a carbonated beverage like Sprite or 7Up (not iced tea), pieces of candy for flavoring. It is reportedly what led to Lil Wayne's recent hospitalization. The magical powers of the internet led me to this information.

Sorry, I just don't believe that having unopened iced tea and a bag of skittles (possibly unopened because it was raining and he was walking home?) is enough to rouse my suspicion.

As far as those who claim having pot in his system, problems at school, getting suspended as evidence of Martin's thug life--well, I'm sure NOBODY who posts on this board was every guilty of any of those things! It's about as logical as blaming somebody for walking with his hood over his head when it's raining.

The castle doctrine may have been around for centuries but the Stand Your Ground law takes the concept further. I'm not happy with the verdict but I'm not surprised because of the nature of that law. Can't believe people are still rehashing details that have been hashed and slashed and sliced and diced to pieces.

the local department let him go because they did not even question his story. they believed zimmerman because they knew him. they believed that he was credible and did not even probe him to find inconsistencies in his story. point blank, it was lazy policework. they did not want to do their jobs. to them it was an open ans shut case. all they needed to know was a dead negro teen on their hands and they did not bother to find out why. nobody really cared to ask why, and the first thing that had to be done was an arrest, that took 44 fucking days to happen. again i ask, if trayvon were your kid would you have demanded an arrest or bowed your head and said "aww shucks, i guess my son had it coming..." sometimes it takes public pressure to make anything happen. this is why we call and write our elected officials.

you quoted one single witness in the case. i think the trial proved that there was enough probable cause to arrest zimmerman and put him on trial.

holder is not inciting violence. holder is not telling people to go out and break shit. holder IS saying that the justice dept is looking in to whether or not martin's civil rights were violated by the profiling and vigilantism that zimmerman had done. in my opinion, they may have a case for this.

and to blow your sizzrup claim out of the water, do you even know what is in sizzrup? the active ingredient in sizzrup is cough syrup containing codeine. sizzrup is slang for syrup. they can flavor it with skittles or jolly ranchers, or whatever candy, but it has to have codeine cough syrup in it or it ain't "sizzrup". is there evidence that trayvon had cough syrup with codeine at the place where he was staying? is there evidence he was trying to get it if not, then you people need to stop spreading bullshit stereotypical nonsense. martin was not on trial. zimmerman the killer was on trial.

Holder "doj" voiced his opinion without research.

Now he wants to look at it again?

    ...shoddy policework indeed.
