    that's the problem.
Those people who think that the prices aren't too bad. This way fans keep buying tickets no matter how much the prices are, so they can rise and rise.
I guess I am too old fashioned in this matter?

hmm .. the last Ed show's here in Toronto & Montreal (2008) were $170 US a pair. Mancester & London are selling them $154 - $172 a pair US (2012)? (if I'm not mistaken).

I know what you are saying....

however have you been to a football match recently? at old Trafford most seats cost £50 these days, or have you been to a theatre show? been to the races? Have you even been golfing on a reasonable course?

when you consider this, paying £50 for 2hrs of seeing your favourite artist, arguably one of the finest around really cant be considered too bad.

We cant pay what we did in 1994 anymore. Thats just not how the world is.

    although it would be nice.

If i wander into town for some beers and a curry afterwards, I'll guarantee I'll come home 80 notes lighter, yet i know which night i would enjoy more

I've only seen the Water On The Road DVD, but not heard any of the boots (are there even boots for his shows) - but is that a fair indication of what to expect or does he change things up alot from show to show?

Eddie goes where they send him. He said that on the Italian tourfilm.

Besides, I can spend £30 in the pub on a sunday afternoon, so £50 on Eddie Vedder isn't going to upset me.

I can think of worse ways to spend a Monday night...my Monday nights are usually sat at home with a Fish Finger Sandwich messing about on the internet while the wife watches Corrie...

    Hey pdalowsky,

I know and you are right, and I will try to get some tickets for Amsterdam, but still it is a bit of money, although Eddy and also PJ the best band ever.
    :?
Wonder also how big the chance will be to get them thru the regular sale.......... :(

I charge $550 per hour for my time and its no where near as fun as seeing Ed solo. Trust me on that.
Prices vary due to the venue and some of those beautiful small theaters are expensive places to play.

there are way too many apologists for $140 solo EV tickets...

with that being said, it isnt like Ed just decided to charge more for Amsterdam, there are obviously reasons behind it, but if it is THAT much more to play a certain venue in a certain city, why not just play somehwere else?

anyway, it shouldnt be a big surprise after they just sold a Blu Ray for $75
