I don't see how you figure removing the foreskin is comparable to causing sex to be painful and unpleasant for a girl for the rest of her life solely for the purpose of ensuring that only one man gets to fuck her while providing zero enjoyment on her part (on the contrary - causing pain). Sometimes basically cut the entire vagina right off and then sew her shut except for a pee hole. Many girls die of the infection it causes. You think that's the same as a doctor in a hospital removing a foreskin, which doesn't detract from sexual enjoyment at all, and is done for the purpose of hygiene and aesthetics, and has a very miniscule rate of complication? Wtf? That's doesn't make sense.

You don't even know what a vagina is? How could they cut the entire vagina off? You don't even know your own anatomy!
i restarted this thread actually with a link to an article that said circumcision was being outlawed in German for religious reasons. The article had a story about a baby boy that kept bleeding after after the surgery. It is not a simple procedure of just cut it off and everything is fine.
Boys also die due to infection after the operation. I have already posted a link to articles earlier about this but you probably would just ignore them anyway.
The foreskin is still attached to the glads when they circumcise a baby. They have to rip it away from the glands. You act it like it is a some sort of ready detachable body part.
There is know good medically reason to have it done to a healthy child and aesthetics is hardly a good reason to mutilate a child's sexual organs now is it?

I didn't read through this whole thread, but I gotta couple thoughts to throw out there, maybe been said already

I have found sex to be better uncut, more skin moving around, less chafing

I believe it can be really good for a boy to "be like his dad" either way

I would rather leave a boy(I did with mine)natural as God,or the aliens or whatever, made him and if he wants to change himself later, then I didn't make a decision for his body that he can't ever get back
You can get rid of a foreskin, but you can't regrow em
I will walk w/my hands bound
I will walk w/my face blood
I will walk w/my shadow flag

Memories back when she was smooth and strong
and waiting for the world to come along...

Dude ... Yeah, I know the facts. I meant they sometimes remove everything and leave a hole. Whatever. No need to be rude. Yes, there are occasional complications, hence my phrase "miniscule rate of complications". I get it. You don't like it. So great, don't do it to your kids. That's cool that you have an opinion. My argument to you is that it is not comparable to female genital mutilation.

Nope. Not just for looks, as my thread made clear. I find it a decision namely based in hygiene (obviously I wouldn't be overly concerned about the attractiveness to me of my own son's penis! But his hygiene, yes. And if I am concerned about what someone's penis looks like, he had the surgery at least 35 or so years ago, so that's a moot issue). Anyway, I'm not engaging in a debate with you about it, since I already made my feelings and the reasons for them really clear (probably too clear!). It would be my personal choice to have a son circumcised in a hospital with a very qualified doctor (after taking the father's feelings into account as well of course). Obviously it wouldn't be your choice because you think it's too risky. It is an individual decision, so I just think people should butt out of other people's choice on this one (as opposed to female genital mutilation, which I think is a whole different issue).

Yeah I didn't have that issue either, but it was only with one guy...soo :?:

All I know is that it was pretty frakking incredible. Hey if we're getting graphic, might as well say it!

Yeah, I've dated guys with foreskin who presented none of those issues at all (not trying to say that all dudes with foreskin have gross cheesy dicks, lol!). Others, however ... let's just say it's a risk and can present problems in some cases! I would personally not want to leave it up to chance for my son - I would do the the snip-snip myself.
Yeah I've never encountered any of those issues either :? I haven't seen a circumcised penis in 17 years and I don't care to

    LOL Chadwick

I am surprised at some of the heated responses about circumcision. I think in America it is a cultural thing, as well as religious. As a nurse I have assisted in circumcision (it takes about 10 seconds so there isn't much "assisting" to do) and I have also supported parents who choose NOT to circumcise. And while circumcision is unnecessary for a child's well being, I would hardly assimilate it to female circumcision.

Just to pose a question -- to those of you who think it is not okay for a parent to choose -- how do you feel about parents choosing to have their child's ears pierced? Or choosing to vaccinate?

Or, in my own situation, my daughter was born with a series of skin tags along her face/jaw (made of both soft tissue, and a few with cartilage in them). Her ear was slightly deformed. When she was old enough to be cleared for surgery (less than one year old), her father and I elected to have the skin tags removed and her ear reconstructed. We did not want her to be made fun of through her childhood years because she looked different, and we knew if we did the surgery early, she would not remember it. Was that barbaric?

And as an aside, I would not judge a parent with a child who had the same deformity and opted for no surgery. This was just the right choice for us in our specific situation.

The foreskin isn't a deformity and other than Jews and Muslims cutting it because their imaginary friend in the sky told them to, the rest of the world outside the US manages to get by without chopping off normal bits of healthy tissue from newborn babies.

Personally I think you are just looking for an argument. Sorry, that's the way I see it. For people that believe in a higher power that person in the sky is far from "imaginary" and even inferring that is nothing but disrespectful to them and their beliefs. You don't believe in circumcision? Great. Don't do it and don't do it to your children. But to keep sitting here trying to push your beliefs on others on a PJ message board isn't going to accomplish anything. Your time ,seriously, would be much better spent and far more productive banging your head on a wall.

I'll discuss anything but when you want to insult people's beliefs as some "imaginary" person in the sky that's not discussing. When you want to push your beliefs on other people basically demeaning them and saying your way is the only right way...that's not discussing that's insulting. You don't believe in circumcision great. DON"T DO IT THEN. You're not going to sway anyone's beliefs here and again you're not going to score any points insulting people.

And upon thinking about it. You're right. All religion is ridiculous (thanks for the heads up I'll get the word out for you) and circumcision is bad (I'll also get the word out). You have opened my eyes to your way. Everyone else is wrong but you. Hallelujah I have seen the light. My world is so much clearer today.

You can believe in what you want, be it Santa Claus, the lochness monster, the flying spaghetti monster or even god for all I care but once you use those unfounded beliefs to affect the lives of others then a line has been crossed. Keep your religion to yourself and don't use it to justify actions that hurt others.

Do you even read what you type? Seriosuly? :? I'm not pushing my religious beliefs on anyone? You don't even know what religion I am let alone if I believe in one? It's you that's mocking people's beliefs with your posts. You don't believe in circumcision...wonderful. Again...DON"T DO IT. And here's some news for you, parents make decisions everyday of their parenthood that affect their children's lives. Even your own parents made decisions as parents in YOUR life that affected you. If you don't believe just ask yourself these qusetions. Are you circumcised? Were you bottle fed or breast fed? Were you home schooled, private schooled, or publically schooled, etc. Now it's pretty obvious you just want to push your beliefs on people. It's obvious I will never agree with you. You have your beliefs and I have mine. Just keep things respectful around here and stop referring to people who may believe in God as a flying spaghetti monster or some imagnary person in the sky.

well...from what I've been told and may or may not have observed.., I believe leaving it intact enhances sensation.

Every time I think about circumcision I can't help but think about those poor little dogs who have their ears cropped and taped up so they'll stand up and look the way we think their supposed to :(
