"Something promised to us"? - nothing was promised to any of us 10c folks! Please leave your entitlement at the door and enjoy the show!
    False.

Big, Bold and Free was absolutely a broken promise.

And I didn't feel "entitled" until they said it was coming. I didn't just out of the blue say, "Hey, I'm a good boy, I deserve something Big, Bold and Free from these guys."

Please don't ever do this... unless you want a big percentage of the pre-sale tickets to be lost to scalpers. TM pre-sales (in my experience) just require a secret password. Sure, that password is only distributed to fanclub members... but it almost always LEAKS, and spreads like wildfire. We might not hafta refresh as much, but we'll have a lesser chance at good seats. Plus, TM already has enough of a monopoly on the concert tickets of this world, so I'm more than happy to have all of our most sought-after seats in the direct hands of our FANCLUB.

Whilst its all well and good that 10C have issued this 'apology', isn't it a case of too little too late?

It doesn't take a genius to work out that that the pre-sale on Monday was going to go mental and yet 10C did little to fix the problem. An upgrade a few days before tickets go on sale is just amateur. Everytime there's a pre-sale on here it goes nuts and crashes. There's chaos. PJ20 is without doubt PJ's biggest gig and they should have been better prepared.

How long have people on here been saying there's need to be a fix and to improve the system? And only now do they listen!

I love 10C, don't get me wrong and I didn't even go for tickets but I feel this 'apology' is all abit hollow.

Thats a legit apology, and I think very cool...
The key word in the apology is how it ends. "sincerely" better fucking mean sincerely. I feel terrible for those who forked out cash for flights or rooms etc and got fucked because of this mess.
lesson learned... why would anyone book a flight or hotel for a concert they don't yet have tickets to?? :|

Umm, have you not been round? Many people booked hotels at alpine even before it was announced. And a lot of internationalist booked flights and stuff.

I just hope tim's new promise at the end of his apology doesn't fall by the wayside like other promises have. Not saying that the broken promises of past are anyone's fault, somethings just can't be done no matter how hard you try.

But still a lot of this thread I find funny, lot of yes men round these parts, ten club fucked up, sure they have admitted there was a problem, but some round here still seem to think they can do no wrong. There has always been issues with ticket sales on this site, it's nothing new, so here we have another mess and people still think it's great.

Hope the Canada tix run a bit smoother for those trying for that.

Thanks for the update and apology, Tim. And 10c, thank you for all your hard work. I am of the opinion that things shd and could have been better, but at the end of the day I realise we're all just human and we can't always predict events before they happen.

Apology accepted. And for anyone to say you guys do 'little' to help us is beyond ungrateful I think. Thanks again for that which you do for us all.

And 17,000 tix ain't bad at all!!! Make it September already!

Agree completely. There are too many 'Yes' people on here where 10C can do no wrong. If those same people spent 10 hours plus or whatever it was trying to get tickets on Ticketmaster and then TM issued an apology like 10C, they wouldn't accept it.

I'd glad being in UK I've never needed to go through 10C to get tickets because looking from the outside in, it seems a nightmare.

Is it not also 'ungrateful' from 10C to expect fans to spend 2 days trying to get tickets? 10C does a lot for the fans but they should have handled this pre-sale alot better. Clearly they didn't prepare enough for it.

Looks like I'm a 'yes man' too

To be honest the fact is the damage is done so what do people really want and expect? An apology? Well here it is and a good one at that... Or just to have a damn good moan... I'm afraid that won't be getting you anywhere....

Hear, hear! I don't bleet along with the herd. Common sense always prevails. Saying some1 could have/should have done better is just telling them what they already know. I dont feel naive at all for accepting this apology. I've bought PJ tickets thru 10C and through Ticketek (Aussie ticketmaster) and both have their good and bad points. At the end of the day u have to ask urself if the ends will justify the means and deal with whatever comes ur way.

I'm one of those who'll travelling from abroad. I think I was smart in not booking non-refundable accomm. and flights. It's quite silly to commit yourself left, right and centre before you even get event tix.

And I don't think 10C 'expected' everyone to sit at their computers for 2 days of pre-sales. Though they pre-sale period was initially stated to span over 2 days everyone with any experience would know that tickets would sell out within the first day. It's just a shame they decided to implement a new system which let them down. They may not have been prepared for it, but I think they made up for it somewhat by working hard to get things up and running again even if it meant taking the store offline for several hrs.

Lets just hope when the next big tour goes on sale that all these problems have been ironed out. It's easy to say sorry after the event but to do something about it is a different matter. Actions speak louder than words as they say!

This happens to me when I access the 10Club site using IE. How I fix it, I log out, close the site, CLEAR COOKIES, clear browsing history, then log back in. Is a pain, but works for me. Maybe when 10Club rebuilds the site this problem will cease.

Hope you're able to get those tix!

So... who did get a fair chance in your opinion?

That's a good question, I don't have the answer to that.

Obviously a large group of people took time off work and/or spent 8 hrs trying to get tix and a small group of them, like me, was disposed all day Tuesday and had no chance to get tickets at all. I just think a more fair decision would have been to give 24-48 hrs notice as to when they would continue the pre-sale.

I literally had no opportunity to buy tickets.

The CDN tickets go on sale today and the times are staggered. Hope that will help. I don't think they will get anywhere near the volume with this sale.

Last time I got row 2 I think in Saskatoon. I would love to go again but it's a long drive.

When they say 17,000 tickets do they mean that as 4250 pairs? 4250 x 4 tickets per order is 17,000 tickets?
so its about 20% of the venue.

I hope they keep with the 20% for the cdn shows.

    Goodluck everyone.

Apology accepted, but I still have a bitter taste in my mouth after being shutout of the EV solo shows and now the PJ20 weekend. I even made it to the "BUY" screen 3 times, and all 3 times I got the internal server error message all 3 times. It is just very frustrating that only 17,000 of the true fans got what they deserve. I think you guys do a great job but obviously something else needs to be done. Wish I had a solution for you instead of a complaint, sorry.
