It is almost 8:00PM N.Y. time.
And I have PJ20 tickets in my cart!! How is this possible???
It ain't...
if so you gotta buy 'em!
Formerly Brew Crew Tix “If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world.
For this event.... 10c should have done a survey to see who would attend PJ20. Named the dates and a general location (midwest)Charged $50 in escrow that would be used toward a future sale. Then pick a place to satisfy everyone. Even if it turned out to be a GA field somewhere with NO Seniority. It would have saved alot of headaches for Tim and Staff.
Yes, some would bitch about no reserved seats.... Yada yada yada. But for a one time only event.... This could have been the fairest way
Granted I don't know shit about logistics of an event like this.... Just something that I think could have worked for everyone
For the record, I scored tix and am happy to be going to Wisconsin. Just trying to think of something that would have been more INCLUSIVE
If all you are looking for is inclusive, there are going to be no lack of available lawn seats. Anyone that wants to go, will be able to go. This isn't the Showbox or the Vic, it's a 37,000 seat amphitheater. Getting in will not be a problem.
Big open GA fields are tremendously shitty places to see a concert, far worse then the lawn at Alpine. Nevermind the logistics in putting on a show in a non-traditional venue like that, and the fact that you are over exaggerating demand. They wouldn't have gotten enough people unless they added at least 2 more significant headliners.
Despite the absolute shit show that was the 10c onsale, Alpine still was a very good choice of venue.
Thanks 10C! I have been shut out in the past and understand people's frustration. At the same time, I understand what the 10C is dealing with and appreciate all that you do.

It's happened 2 me before!!
17,000 TICKETS to 10 Club members?! Holy crap! I never would have expected they'd be able to secure that many. That's amazing.
It was rough for us, but it's probably rough for you too...I can't imagine how many e-mails you guys are having to answer. Thanks 10c.

But (somebody check my math here), if that's 8,500 tickets per night in a 37,000 capacity venue, that's 23% of the tickets, right? I'd say that's pretty good for the 10club to get that many. Wish they could get more but I'm sure they tried!

As somebody else already said on another thread: it's 4 tickets per member. So they actually only sold tickets to 4,250 members.
4250 members will able to BUY them but other members will go with those 4250 so will be around 8500 fans roughly... that's why I think is better to sell single tickets and allow people to buy max 2. (you know what forget it one more click could be worst...)

Thanks for the response. See what communication can do for calming people down? The reality now is that everyone who didn't get tickets will bitch about it and everyone who did will come back with the boilerplate "Not everyone can get tickets" "There wasn't anything 10C could have done about it" and "Life sucks sometimes get over it". Objectively, however, 10C's apology is too little too late. They knew about these problems for a long time and it has now been over 3 calendar years since a ticket sale didn't crash the goods section. The 10C is a business, and if it weren't pedaling aural crack to an obsessive fanbase none of you would be as forgiving as you seem. People are always gonna be pissed they couldn't get tickets, you can't change that. But the way it went down was unforgiveable and frankly, a fireable offense. How many people on this board could honestly say they would still have a job if they failed in their duties in such epic and public proportions involving nearly it's entire customer base during it's employer's most important event in recent memory?

17,000 TICKETS. maybe 15,000 lawn seats. who know what the division of lawn/reserved is. there are only 7500 pavillion seats there,
As I side earlier, the 10c would have done very well for themselves to have gotten 20-25% of the pavilion seats. Let's say 1500 per night. That's 750 pairs per night, or 1500 reserved/ga ticket packages and 3000 tickets. That leaves 14,000 "tickets", which probably amounts to 3500 ga/ga ticket packages (3500 x 4). Now those numbers are off because tickets were included in the travel packages, so say maybe 1250 reserved/ga ticket packages actually went on sale.
The venue probably gave them as many lawn seats as they wanted. There are no lack of lawn seats and no high demand (comparatively) for them. Let's face it, lots of 10c members will try and pair up to sit with a friend in the pavilion both nights so there are going to be plenty of excess lawn seats available.

I'm glad to hear that 10 club will finally be fixing their ticketing system. I just wish it was fixed before tomorrow's Canada pre-sales. Another day of refreshing for me. :?
Suggestion for when the new system is built: let us test it in a mock run before it goes live. Setup a fake concert date for us to hammer at and see if the system can handle the deluge.
