  • Anyone going to the PJ20 in Miami next week? I am in WPB and don't know the area at all
  • Am I the only really disappointed with the quality of the paper in the PJ20 book? It makes the photographs look like something I printed from my computer in 1996. Why not use some nice glossy pages for a book like this? It's too bad, because otherwise the book is wonderful.

    You've got to be kidding.

    Matte >>>>>>>>>>>> Glossy.

Super glossy pages would have made this look cheap. They definitely made the right choice.

don't worry, there will always be something.

me personally i'm not too fussed by the font, they should have used times roman new. everyone knows that. School boy error right there.

Will the soundtrack be sold on vinyl?

Hope so. They appear to have made a vinyl version (or at least a record jacket) as Fallon had one on his show the other day...

When the Fed-Ex man pounded on the door, I scooped up the package , and began opening like a child on Christmas morning. The book is massive, and I've only begun to delve into it. Truly incredible. Looking forward to the PJ20 screening in Baltimore, after that...I guess its time to cool down and get back into mundane life. So happy I got to get lost in it all again. This month has brought me back to when I was first sitting by my stereo as a pre-teen, listening wide-eared to the classic rock and grunge greats. I can still see my self, laying there on my crappy single bed, listening to Eddie, staring up at a torn-out magazine picture of Pearl Jam taped on my wall. It feels almost like a full circle moment, but I know me and the band aren't over just yet. Thanks Pearl Jam :)

Great post! I'll see you at the Baltimore showing!

    Something for Australians...

Would anybody like a free double movie pass that I won for Hoyts Cinemas that can only be used for the PJ20 movie? (Send me a PM if you're interested :) )

I won the pass from the recent radio competition, but I already have my ticket to see the movie. I also noticed that the listing at my cinema says "NFT" (No free tickets), so there's no point me giving it away if it can't be used around here.

I could pop it in the mail if anyone is interested in the pass. :-)

    The two conditions are...

    1. That you don't sell it

    2. This is optional, but try and do a good deed for somebody else :)

(Obviously I can't police either of those things, but it would be nice if it went to an honest PJ fan!)

I am such a complete and total dunderhead that I believed book and soundtrack were being released the same day.
So when i ordered from amazon i selected the 'send my items in as few shipments as possible' so I won't get it til next week....I'm stoopid....hope everyone is enjoying theirs
All I have to do is revel in the everyday....then do it again tomorrow

They say every sin is deadly but I believe they may be wrong...I'm guilty of all seven and I don't feel too bad at all

  • Made it through about a quarter of the book last night, starting at the beginning and reading every page. What an awesome book -- great, great read about my favorite Band. Thanks!
  • Book just came to my door! Time to smoke a J and dive deep.

I'm holding out for this... I've already heard the stream of the soundtrack and vowed to never buy a CD again so I can wait but some confirmation besides Fallon would be cool.

I also got my book from Amazon.com yesterday. I have only had a chance to skim through it so far, but from what I read it is going to be amazing to read. It was quite a deal from Amazon.com only $22.72 (as compared to $35 from the PJ store) A really good deal.

I'm pissed I waited to long to get tickets to the Scottsdale, AZ showing!!! The first two showings are sold out, and the 8-something has one seat left. If I didn't have an early flight the next day, I'd totally get tix to the 10:45 show! Damn! :(

If anyone from AZ has an extra tic to an early showing, PM me!! I sooooo wanna go!

Bull Moose music in Maine is selling this bad boy for $20 this week. Just a great deal.

The book is amazing. Like porn for the serious PJ fan.
  • Got my book delivered the other day...wow! The only thing I can compare it to is the massive Beatles Anthology book, as I see many similarities in the structure of the two books. Impressive, to say the least.

Book just arrived on my desk at work! I tore it opened and started reading Cameron Crowe's intro. Paragraph 2 and I'm already emotional so I'm going to have to stop reading for now. Can't wait to get home tonight to read it!
