Has anyone listed to the stream of the full soundtrack CD that was posted today? I'm confused about what this is. Maybe have to wait for the film to get it, but as a listening experience, it's unclear why some of these recordings were chosen. The quality is really inferior and can hear people in the audience talking over the vocals. The selfish, they're all standing in line

Some of the tracks are demos. It's just a selection of songs that will appear in the film. They weren't chosen for their fidelity; they were chosen for their importance in the history of the band. The Scary Monster0 -

I was really fortunate to get to an advance screening last night of the film, here in Dublin and like any PJ concert, I just didn't want it to end. The funny thing about the screening was that, again like a PJ concert, 99% of the crowd attending the screening didn't budge until the end of the film credits..... just in case we missed the smallest of PJ facts or insights revealed and another sign of the respect PJ fans have for the bands body of work. I've never seen that happen at any film before!
No film details, just go enjoy for yourselves and let it unfold infront of you.
One gripe about the soundtrack tracklist (I know, Cameron Crowes choice - and ye, well it is his film), where is "Hunger Strike"???? Really can't understand it not being on the soundtrack tracklist, especially having seen the film.
Going again when it gets a general release.....0 -
Is there another topic discussing the soundtrack now we can listen to it? I don't see it so I'll say it here.
I think the Times of Trouble demo is very cool and unusual. Hadn't heard it before, and I liked it instantly!
I haven't listened all the tracks yet, but I was compelled to come here and tell you that. :P0 -
Will the soundtrack be sold on vinyl?"In the age of darkness
want to be enlightened"0 -
Does anyone else find it odd that most of the European tour, including the Italy shows from 2006 did not make it into the PJ20 book?0

When the Fed-Ex man pounded on the door, I scooped up the package , and began opening like a child on Christmas morning. The book is massive, and I've only begun to delve into it. Truly incredible. Looking forward to the PJ20 screening in Baltimore, after that...I guess its time to cool down and get back into mundane life. So happy I got to get lost in it all again. This month has brought me back to when I was first sitting by my stereo as a pre-teen, listening wide-eared to the classic rock and grunge greats. I can still see my self, laying there on my crappy single bed, listening to Eddie, staring up at a torn-out magazine picture of Pearl Jam taped on my wall. It feels almost like a full circle moment, but I know me and the band aren't over just yet. Thanks Pearl Jam* Wachovia Center - 10/3/05 * Verizon Center - 5/30/06 * Susquehanna Bank Center - 06/19/08 * Jiffy Lube Live - 05/13/10 * Alpine Valley Music Theatre - 09/03/11 * Alpine Valley Music Theatre - 09/04/11* Royal Farms Arena- 10/27/13 * Global Citizens Festival 9/26/150

Gonna gush a bit.
Wow. Saw this in Dublin last night, I've been moved by PJ live on occasion, but never before by watching them on film. This changed all that. It's mad good. Powerful performances one after another, a well told tale, sorta by way of snapshot narrative in the music. I dunno how many times I thought 'aw please show all this!' but it'd switch all too soon. Really hope the extended edition surfaces:) a couple of alarming revelations, and some mad cool inside stories. This is special. Felt kinda validated after it. This is a great fucking band, and you sorta feel proud to have been part of that all these years in the face of others derision and ridicule. They didnt give in, they kept goin and held themselves with a lot of grace and dignity even if it may have been turmoil beneath the surface. And they're still a great band.
Long may they run. Think everyone in the PJ fanbase is gonna love this film across the board and the only complaint is gonna be that it isn't longer.
Can't wait to see it again:)0
