Save You open the boot (Arc opens the gig) and it sets off a strong start with Hail Hail (slight false start), Animal, Green Disease and Grievance. Green Disease & Grievance seamlessly go into one another, Grievance starting up even before the last chord of Green Disease ends. Faithfull makes it's 1st play on this leg of the tour and feels even more laid-back than usual. Following Even Flow, Driven To Tears returns to the setlist after making a few appearances on the previous leg of the tour. A trio of Riot Act songs shows the diversity from that album; Bu$hleaguer, Thumbing My Way and Love Boat Captain. Nothingman continues the low tempo created by TMW and LBC and is sublime as ever. Go shatters that low-tempo though and ends the main set.
Opening the first encore is Betterman. Ed gets the crowd involved when tagging Ben Harper's With My Own Two Hands during Daughter. Ed introduces Down as a 'song about hope' and it certainly does leave you with a positive feeling. Jeremy closes the encore. As with many second encores during this tour, it's another that is entirely made up of cover songs. You've Got To Hide Your Love Away is first up. The instrumental during Crazy Mary is just insane, everyone really going for it. One of my favourites I reckon. Know Your Rights follows and Rockin' In The Free World completes the gig.

Not really a boot, but rediscovered the AOL sessions from 2/27/06. Only 6 songs, but great versions of HTI, Comatose and Sad

Gig #50 of the tour, Go opening the boot (Arc the gig). They go close to losing Evolution midway through but pull it back together. Ed tells the crowd it's thanks to Jeff that they are playing Fargo. Insignificance follows and then Nothing As It Seems and Half Full make early appearances in the set. Leading into the next song, Ed then tells the crowd there is a band called The Ramones and that they never played Fargo; I Believe In Miracles is next, fairly raucous. After I Am Mine, it's a good version of Help Help, Matt more pronounced on backing vocals and adding a couple of neat touches on the drums a few times. Ed and Matt get mixed up slightly with vocals during You Are but recover well. A couple of big hitters follow with Even Flow and Betterman. The whole band seem to forget completely how to play In My Tree, it makes for a different take but I'd rather they played a full and correct version! It's basically an improv of In My Tree more than anything else, Ed saying at the 'that was just a detour'. Thumbing My Way lowers the tempo before Spin The Black Circle and Porch provide a high tempo ending to the main set.
Corduroy starts off the first encore, I can't remember too many times when this happens. Animal is 2nd off. Ed introduces Sleight Of Hand as 'not the average, the normal that we might try...'. Rearviewmirror ends the encore.
I Am A Patriot starts the second encore making it's penultimate appearance on the tour. Fittingly, Ed forgets some lyrics! Otherwise it's another good rendition of this song, which I have really grown to love over this tour. It's another Mike v Boom duel for Crazy Mary with Baba O'Riley closing the show.
Not bad, I know others rate this one highly but it's an average-ish boot for me with a nicely mixed up set.

A solid enough Of The Girl eases the show in with Last Exit and Given To Fly following. Ghost is up next, the intro slightly fumbled. After Ghost finishes Ed sings "I'm looking California, and feeling Minnesota" from Soundgarden's Outshined before starting up Corduroy, which has some nice drumbeats from Matt leading in. Immortality is blistering and Even Flow follows straight-after; both providing Mike and Matt opportunities to showcase their skills. The instrumental in Even Flow is particularly good. The crowd is then treated to a rarity in Thin Air; even in 2003 this was a rare thing making only 8 appearances on the tour - this being the 4th and the 1st time on this leg. Cropduster and Grievance work nicely together, really enjoying hearing the former alot on this tour - no idea why its gets neglected nowadays. It's a solid performance for Grievance also. Driven To Tears takes a while to get going, Ed forgetting the lyrics at the beginning but the band carry on playing thus basically extending the intro. Alive and Black bring the main set to an anthemic end.
After introducing all of the band the encore starts with Daughter. The end of the song seems all messed up, Ed continuing to sing "the shades go down" but the band stops playing. The crowd claps in time for a short while before Save You starts up. A guy in the crowd gets up and sings Lukin, I think earlier in the encore he requests it but Ed says he can't sing it himself tonight so a couple of songs later the guy gets up. Closing the encore and making it's first appearance on this leg is Leaving Here.
Breaking the cycle of the last few second encores always being covers, Small Town starts up this encore. You could call the rest of the encore self-indulgent I suppose with the jams, solos and instrumentals on show in Rearviewmirror, Rockin' In The Free World and Yellow Ledbetter. There is nothing wrong with this but the encore does kind of lose flow. It's the first time in 9 shows that Ledbetter is performed.

I get it's a quality gig but i often wonder what could have been had they not played that song. I remember up to that point it was one of the greatest shows I saw; everything was perfect: band, song selection and crowd. After bushleaguer things just went downhill quick. i'd love to know what would have been played had the crowd reaction been different.
San Diego 2013. Though the playing is a bit sloppy, it is a damn fun show. Eddie's in a good mood. And with all the family in the audience (of Eddie, Matt & Mike) it also has a kind of homecoming feel to it. I'm glad I was at this show. It might not be the best bootleg of the 2013 tour performance-wise, but the atmosphere makes up for it. Nice show!
Seattle 2013.. so great to listen to and relive an incredible time not just in the GA pit but the entire day. From pre-gaming with some other fans in the food court bar across from the arena, to meeting Steve Gleason's sister in a Key Arena beer line. Great times.

Sometimes it's not the song that makes you emotional it's the people and things that come to your mind when you hear it.
