    It doesn't seem like that long ago to us that we had one of the best jobs on the planet... And the jobs that we had right before that job, were not the best jobs in the world... But we went from just listening to our records to share the same stage with them... A few years ago back now, but it feels really good right now cause I feel like we're back in an exciting position of opening for the Red Hot Chili Peppers again... We are so fucking grateful to those guys... Anthony and Flea, and John, and Chad, and now Josh... I don't know where we would be without their support and getting us out there to play and share the same stage with them... So, we are forever grateful to the Peppers and I can't wait till tomorrow night... If it weren't for the Peppers, instead of hearing an audience cheer what I'd be hearing is something more like: "Mr. Vedder clean up on aisle 3"... Actually, what I'd be saying living in Seattle: "You might want to try this one here... That's the Hindu Curse... I find that good for song writing and love making as well... And then we have the AK47 which is great if you just want to sit and watch the baseball game and forget that you're a human being and had dreams that you were once an iguana and you had a crush on this frog and you're having reptile sex"...     After Mike's solo, when Ed starts with the oh-oh-oh-ohs, you can hear the crowd come in, and it souds fucking spectacular. It's the only time I've gotten Purple Rain and I honestly hope I never get it again, because this version was perfect. I have some great video of it too.

    Best part about that show: I sold my extra ticket on Ticketmaster. A complete stranger bought it. We started chatting at the show, and we are friends to this day. She missed Purple Rain to catch a flight, which I periodically reminder her of lol.
