Well, I'm taking a risk. The last e-mail that I received from Universal said I had a choice of having it resent or I could get a refund. I replied and obviously chose the refund. However, the risk is that I don't really trust Universal and I went ahead and ordered the box set from Amazon.ca.
The price from Amazon ended up being something like $68.21 USD. Through Universal, it was almost $100, right? Ugh, what a challenge this has been. Here's hoping I (we) get that damn refund from Universal!! :evil:
Just did the same $58 plus $18 for 1-3 day expediated priority shipping. Felt the extra $7 was worth it for tracking and priority ship . Still $30 xheaper than from Universal.

Awesome my refund went through today and the must have been a shift in the American dollar because I got a few buck more back then the original purchase!!
I am still calling shenanigans on the whole mailed out thing. I don't think they would be offering refunds this quickly if they really mailed out. But hey in the long run I got my money back so I am good!

Owww and I got my deluxe set from soundstage today as well. Ordered on 2-2 and recieved today via Media Mail.
I got a confirmation email that said the refund would be going through and that it could take 2-30 days. I logged into my cc today and the refund went through

ok, so my friend made a good point in thinking that maybe universal actually overextended themselves in selling more than they could get their hands on, which would make sense... otherwise if they did send them out, they certainly would not have issued refunds...
however if this is true... it gives them no right to jack everyone here off via email... the ping pong emails virtually saying we were shit out of luck is just shitty customer service.

now onto the set... i think it was worth it for the glossy photos alone... does the ed one remind anyone else of a bob marley shot?

i to am in the same boat as the rest, i am ontario canada bout an hour west of toronto. . . I have been fighting with universal and have asked for a refund as well, if by chance they try to screw me out of it I have been in contact with Visa and was told that if after 21 BUSINESS days the item has still not been received as per Universals shippinfg regulations Visa will be happy to reverse the charges for item not received regardless of what
Universal says or wants to do.
On a Positive note I picked the box set up today from a local music store for $55 Canadian, there is a few stores with them ranging from 55-60 bucks. If there are people out htere that need / want a set let me know and you can paypal me some $$$ includings shipping and i can do what I can to help you guys out!
