Saw some of the Leafs out in St Paul the night before the game in Minny. Of course everyone was bugging Kessel about the All Star draft. He didn't play much in the Minny game for some reason ... lol. I'm not a Leafs fan but Reimer is really good -- can't wait until the big trade when they give him to the Isles for DiPietro.

    Lol. Just good, clean hockey.

I think I saw a second forechecker!!! And the Wings haven't even drawn a penalty yet. Ah never mind -- penalty + PP goal -- woot!

I love the leafs. Wearing my leafs pants, t shirt & hoodie watching the game now.

Sorry to say this, but the chances if the playoffs is so slim. Buffalo 5 points up with 7 games left but a game in hand.
    Too little too late.

The leafs are an exciting team right now and will only get better with the players they have & will draft/ trade for in the next few seasons.

Wasn't that a great fight between Rosehill and Lucic? They both landed some heavy bombs

that was an awesome save by Reimer at the end of the game, I had my arms in the air expecting Calgary had tied it up

let's see how the team does when the expectations come after 20 games in

Well im very happy beating the habs tonight, Kessel had a goal and a assist to keep him on a 2 point a game pace 8 goals 6 assists 14 points in 7 games, Grabovski scored a beautiful overtime winner, the only negative was losing Reimer in the first and having to play the Monster very scary stuff indeed lol.

Well I hope Reimer comes back tonight, the monster is playing well, but he just seems to be all over the place and frankly he scares me. I need the steady play of Optimus Reim back in net. Lets keep this good start rolling :)

    Scrivens = Reimer 2.0

and that's a damn good thing. let's give him as many starts as we can, even if it means returning him to the marlies. i'd rather him be in the ahl than playing one every week or so. looked damn fine last night though.

definitely ... monster = serviceable back up ...

big difference this year seems to be the D ... if schenn can pick it up a bit ... that would be a solid 6 guys ...
  • I agree It's now an interesting situation with GUstovsen being a Unrestricted Free Agent at the end of the season. You want to see what this kid can do, and the time is now since Reimer is out.

well age 27 isn't exactly a kid, i think the monster is average at best but i agree scrivens needs to play almost every game for the Marlies for the rest of the season.

monster is fundamentally not sound ... he is often out of position and i don't think he has the mental makeup (short memory) to be a starting goalie ... also, his puck handling is weak ... something scrivens showed much better skill at ...

    i really like scrivens ... i think he's better than reimer ...

9-3-1 is 19 points and enough for a tie for 1st in the NHL when was the last time leafs could say that lol, hopefully we will get our revenge on boston and kessel gets a hat trick so Leafs fans can chant thank you kessel instead of the morons in boston lol.
