  • Nice to get 2 points out of an effort like that against the Blue Jackets.

    Scrivens = Reimer 2.0

    Scrivens = Reimer 2.0

    and that's a damn good thing. let's give him as many starts as we can, even if it means returning him to the marlies. i'd rather him be in the ahl than playing one every week or so. looked damn fine last night though.

    definitely ... monster = serviceable back up ...

    big difference this year seems to be the D ... if schenn can pick it up a bit ... that would be a solid 6 guys ...
  • I agree It's now an interesting situation with GUstovsen being a Unrestricted Free Agent at the end of the season. You want to see what this kid can do, and the time is now since Reimer is out.

    well age 27 isn't exactly a kid, i think the monster is average at best but i agree scrivens needs to play almost every game for the Marlies for the rest of the season.

    monster is fundamentally not sound ... he is often out of position and i don't think he has the mental makeup (short memory) to be a starting goalie ... also, his puck handling is weak ... something scrivens showed much better skill at ...

    i really like scrivens ... i think he's better than reimer ...

    9-3-1 is 19 points and enough for a tie for 1st in the NHL when was the last time leafs could say that lol, hopefully we will get our revenge on boston and kessel gets a hat trick so Leafs fans can chant thank you kessel instead of the morons in boston lol.

    well Greg Millen said he was 27 during a game a few starts ago, so i just looked at mapleleafs.com and he is indeed 27.

    last time we were on top was four games into last season...but that shouldn't count in anyone's books.

    Like to see another game from Scrivens, just after one game he gives me more confidence watching him in net than the monster does. But would rather have Reimer back.
    Finally seems like Graboski line is picking it up, or should I say MacArthur

    While I'm a Leafs fan till the bitter end, and I'm really pleased with their start this year, they haven't really been tested yet. In the two games this year where they faced "Competition" (despite what early standings say) in Boston and Philly, they got it handed to them pretty good.

    Tonight will be interesting to see if they can bounce back vs Boston or if it's another loss...

    It is great that all the younger guys are looking sharp. Reimer needs to get healthy if the Leafs stand a chance. Guss can't steal them any games...I'm being realistic here when I say that this year looks like they'll be a bubble team once everything evens out...Hopefully they'll be on the right side of the bubble come April.
