    Sweden lost Holmstrom, but it gave them an excuse to get Franzen in the lineup - he's been playing well since his return. They have the Sedin sisters, plus Lidstrom and Lundqvist...the Swedes ALWAYS play well together, good team D.....and like Alfredsson said in an interview yesterday: against Canada over 82 games, he doesn't like Sweden's chances....one game? Anything can happen.

    btw Sweden is dangerous with or without Foppa. Zetta-Franzen-Backstrom and Sedin-Sedin-Alfy can easily be compared with Russia and Canada's top lines..

    agree Sweden is dangerous - the question is how much ice time do they give an aging legend. If it becomes we have to play him because he is a living legend in Sweden that may/will take away from the team. I'm interested to see how much time he gets. I'd love to see Sweden win it over Russia or Canada though. Hopefully the level of play will be high no matter who wins it.

    Ya, it would be better with less teams and a best of three medal round or something...but there's nothing wrong with kids from the 'smaller' hockey nations getting excited about the sport.

    i didn't even watch it. did anyone catch the post game show of the usa/swiss game. milbury and roenick were going at it big time. talk bout not liking each other. also it's so nice to see the new guard of team usa in these Olympics.

    Even though it was only Norway, this is the best I've seen Team Canada play a game at the Olympics since the NHL player began participating with the exception of '02 gold medal game. This team is different and much better prepared.

    No doubt Russia will be dangerous...I guess all teams from the hockey powers are dangerous. I'm not convinced about Russia's goaltending yet. That's what makes the US dangerous...Miller.

    Everyone keeps talking about Canada/Russia being the two top teams.

    I am nervous about the U.S. A underdog with no pressure, a young team (with less ego than the superstars on Canada or Russia) and a hot goalie......is a dangerous combo.

    For the U.S., it is almost a luxury having 1 surefire decision as your goalie. On the Canadian team, there is a lot of second guessing (Luongo or Brodeur)
