I saw people that picked up their tickets and walked away like spoiled fucking children ready to rub it in someone's face.
lol, I hope you're not talking about me shrieking when I saw my ticket because I read it wrong at first and thought I had gotten 10th row in the lottery
some guy kind of said something to me like, "it can't be that good." Hahaha I felt like an idiot. It was pure excitement though
My gawd you fools are wasting a ton of energy of this. And no, I couldn'tmake it through the whole thing, but I wanted to copy and paste something from the Ten Club pagethat has ALWAYS been there:

Right fucking there. Funny how some of you only read what suites your argument. But that is pretty clear to me.

Same Here Ledbetterman...I have an ok # was thinkin maybe ill get a sweet seat..but I am thinking my number wont get me such a good seat now...hehe can I start bitching about my philly seats now?
Well my number is 189xxx. Last year at MSG that had me on the floor but back a bit behind the divider. I'm pretty sure that the people who got nose-bleed seats last night are people with their number in the 300xxx range or higher so I'm not worried.
Wrong! Try 1xx,xxx in section 318.

No offense, but Santos has called and proved bs on most of these claims of 100xxx range numbers and in the 300 level.

O.K. let me correct myself. I bought tickets from a 10c member who ended up going with a friend and sold me her tickets. When we made the deal a couple of months ago she told me her number was in the 100 thousands and she always got good seats. On the day of the show she called me and said she had section 318. I was shocked. Anyway, because I had promised to buy them I bought them anyway. Also I was scared that I couldn't get any other tickets and we had already traveled to Chicago. So I don't know if a mistake was made or she lied to me. She seems like a nice person, but who knows?

I do agree with this sentiment. Unfortunately we don't know the circumstances concerning what went on.

No offense, but you see how now the story is somewhat hearsay?
That said; I really commend you for being a person of your word and going forth with buying her tickets. And I truly hope, despite all, that you had a good time at the show.

Ten Club seating high points...
4th row, Chicago 1998
3rd row, Memphis 2000 (used my sister's # in the 178xxx range)
3rd row, Thunder Bay 2005
Seats for 2009 United Center shows...
Section 121, Row 5 (Aug. 23)
Floor: Section 1, Row 22 (Aug. 24)
I have never had bad 10Club seats. I knew going in to these Chicago shows that there were going to be a shit-ton of 10Clubbers in attendance. I knew my chances at the lottery (Rows 1,2,9 & 10) were slim. In the end, I got about exactly what I would've predicted and am once again very appreciative for the 10Club's efforts. I am on this board quite a bit, so I feel like I have a pretty good read on 10Club policy and therefore I am not often surprised or disappointed. I don't blame people for not paying as close of attention as I do. BUT, for those who have signed up in recent years and expect to have amazing seats for a huge market like Chicago, you're just wrong.
I truly believe that 10Club tries to do everything in their power to do good for us fans...
*Try to keep the senior members happy by allocating by seniority
*Try to keep the new members happy with the lottery rows and better seats than Ticketmaster approximately 95% of the time
*Try to keep all members happy by giving you a chance to get in to as many shows as you want (the only shows that I've wanted to go to and failed were the intimate Eddie solo shows)
Pearl Jam is a juggernaut. A huge band with a huge fan base. It seems that every 10Club member has their own opinion for how to improve things. Unfortunately, those opinions usually are looking out for that individual's own self interest. Again, I truly believe that 10Club tries to do the most good for the most possible people. I have a hard time believing people with #s in the 100xxx's were in the 3rd level, but people on here are claiming that's the case. Perhaps there were a few mix-ups. Maybe they should hire a couple more full-time positions to cut down on errors and raise rates another $10 per year? I still think 10Club deserves a grade of A
More statistical gibberish brought to you by Wilds.
Ten Club numbers 000,001-133,XXX got sections 1,2, and 3 aside from the lottery winners.
Ten Club numbers 133,XXX-165,XXX got 113, 114, 120, and 121
Ten Club numbers 165,XXX-184,XXX got 112, 122
Ten Club numbers 184,XXX-212,XXX got Floor 4,5, and 6
Ten Club numbers 212,XXX-259,XXX got 111, 101
Ten Club numbers 259,XXX-295,XXX got 102, 103, 109, 110
Ten Club numbers 295,XXX-310,XXX got 104-108 (there is a gap here, so I assumed this to be true)
The above seats seems to be the normal (Ten Club, fight to the death to get the best seats in the house) type of Fan Club seats. After 310,XXX the seats got quite a bit worse.
In fact there seems to be only 4 sections in the 200 level that Ten club members got, and they are towards the side of the arena.
Ten Club numbers 310,XXX-335,XXX got 201,202, 216, 217
(These are club level seats I think, and obviously the Ten Club didn't get many of these)
Then comes the upper deck nightmare. There seems to be little rhyme or reason to the distribution.
People with Ten club numbers from 335,XXX to 437,XXX got these sections in this order:
Most of these seats seemed to be in the 1st five rows.
So aside from the 100 level seats directly behind the stage, it seems as if Ten Club got ALL of the floor. ALL of the rest of the 100's, almost no 200's, and very random 300's.
Of course other people could be mixed into the floor, or 100 level seats, but I would guess we took over this arena in a big way.
The best the overflow ten clubbers from 335,XXX on could have hoped for were 200 level seats, but Ten Club had none.
I'll repeat one last thing from an earlier post. The only thing that should have been different about what went down, would have been for the Ten Club to post far in advance that some people with very high numbers will not get 100 level, or even 200 level seats. I think that would have solved everything.
My guess as to why that happened is this:
Ten Club negotiated all those amazing Ten Club seats. Let's say it was 6000 of the best seats in the house. BUT they said they will take every single ten club order that comes in and if the number of people attending goes over 6000 seats they will just take what is available.
Perhaps they were surprised when they sold an additional 2000 seats and then had to make a compromise about where to put those people. They didn't have time to warn them, cause they didn't anticipate 4000 pairs being sold.
Now that the orders were in hand, they choose to wait until the upper deck shit storm hit, rather than deal with people trying to get refunds.
Just took a look. There were 400 fans signed up for the Chicago 1 show on touring fans. 260 for Chicago 2 and currently 240 for the Halloween show.
So depending on how good the ten club seats are for Philly, it's possible that people with 300,XXX ten club numbers will still get great seats. Time will tell.

I pity you SLH, you've got a crap job and you can never make everyone happy. Anyway, your insights on this thread have made reading it all worth while. Keep up the good work!
On a related note, I don't get why "everyone" thinks of the 10C as a ticket club. I joined primarily because I'm a fan of the band. I like getting the singles and magazines and that's it. The band hasn't come to my country for 11 years, so the preferential ticketing doesn't have much to do with it (I did get to use it in Oz in 06 however). The thing I hate about other bands fan clubs is people join on tours just to get access to presale tickets (and those presale tickets are usually scattered through the building). I'd hate for 10C to end up like that.
P.S. Will we see you in the box office in NZ? At least you won't have to worry about people complaining about their rubbish seats. Since it's GA, they'll have nothing to complain about! Oh wait...
you'll get nothing but sunshine and lollipops from the kiwis we'll just be so fucking happy to see you crazy bastards.

I am totally biting my nails for the Vancouver show.
I hope I get good seats cause I very rarely get to go to shows cause I live in an area of canada that never gets shows. Hubby and I decided to bite the bullet and buy tix to and airfare to Van for our 10 year anniversary.
I really appreciate Wilds doing his homework like that.
It really put everything into perspective for me.
I am signed into touringfans and am keeping my eyes on it.
But seeing the layout for Vancouver I know Im gonna have a great time and be surrounded by other 10c fans.
Cant wait to rock it out!!!

you are right, we don't. even now would it hurt them to state it though? probably not. if they had a high allotment, just say so. i can't recall anyone in the 10c EVER get seats that bad since i've been around in 03. they just don't communicate, and that's why people get mad. and, in my opinion, rightfully so. we should be getting info from them about numerous things, and we don't.

331, 319, 333, 334, 308, 317, 334, 303, 314, 311, 310, 309 and 302.
Just a guess. Could be totally wrong.
Can't say for sure, but I would prepare myself for the worst if I had a 300,XXX number going to the Halloween show.
Then I would put on a smile and ROCK THE FUCK OUT to the greatest band in the world while swinging from the rafters.
So depending on how good the ten club seats are for Philly, it's possible that people with 300,XXX ten club numbers will still get great seats. Time will tell.

Thanks.... didn't even get to those shows. I'm in deep for the California run though starting this Friday.

There are 2 things I am sure of....
The 10club did EXACTLY what they have always promised....They will try to get the best seats possible...And those seats will be given out by seniority......
and...
Santos is my kind of guy...
He tells it like it is....
And i guess there is one more thing...
Wilds did his homework....
Till there aint nothing left worth taking away from me.....
To be fair:

I hope I get good seats cause I very rarely get to go to shows cause I live in an area of canada that never gets shows. Hubby and I decided to bite the bullet and buy tix to and airfare to Van for our 10 year anniversary.
I really appreciate Wilds doing his homework like that.
It really put everything into perspective for me.
I am signed into touringfans and am keeping my eyes on it.
But seeing the layout for Vancouver I know Im gonna have a great time and be surrounded by other 10c fans.
Cant wait to rock it out!!!
I am not complaining by any means it was a great show but I am just pointing out the obvious. . This is not true by any means. I am a 400 and was in 318 4th row from the top and sitting right behind us was a 186
You can add Section 318 to your list. Some guy took a poll and everyone in that section was 10c. My husband sat 3 rows from the very top.
you are right, we don't. even now would it hurt them to state it though? probably not. if they had a high allotment, just say so. i can't recall anyone in the 10c EVER get seats that bad since i've been around in 03. they just don't communicate, and that's why people get mad. and, in my opinion, rightfully so. we should be getting info from them about numerous things, and we don't.
