I am one of the people who has not read all 27 pages on this thread...and do not plan to. HOwever, I am willing to throw in my 2 cents.

It seems that there was "a problem" with the ticket distribution for this show. It has happened before and will happen again. Wasn't there a show in 2003 (Detroit) where people with really low numbers got put 20 or so rows back from the stage due to season ticket holders? Ed even mentioned it during that show.

Even though it happened you have to realize that 10c and the band did everything they could to ensure everyone recieved the seats they were suppose to get. Shit happens. The Ten CLub is a great thing, but it is not perfect. There will be mistakes and people will feel like they were screwed. But, you have to realize that they are doing eveything they can to assure you have good seats.

I have traveled a long way to see them, spent alot of money, and had crappy seats. I ended up 2nd to the LAST ROW on the floor and could not see a thing...except for for all the heads in front of me and the occasional glimpse of the band. If you were in the rafters at least you can see the band. I could not. It was a great show even though I had "bad" seats and I am glad I went. The experience of seeing (or being in the building for that matter) Pearl Jam is still untouched by anything in entertainment in my honest opinion.

It sucks your seats were bad, but it is going to happen. Hopefully, it did not sway you from trying to see them again and dont giveup on the 10C...it is a nice little club.

HOpe to see you at a show in the future.

Grand Rapids 06, members with higher numbers were closer, and lower numbers kinda got shuffled back, but they weren't in the rafters like this. Grand Rapids actually went over well, which I think, MAY have led to the lottery system. Everyone was ok with it.

Though that did happen in Grand Rapids (and it was a memorable show), Igotpj is actually referring to the first Detroit show in summer 2003 at DTE Energy. That venue has seat licenses (the corporation's name are right on the seats) and many 10C fans were pushed back 15-20 rows. Ed made a comment about it during the second Detroit show the next day.

Yep... remember that show well. I believe that was also the tour where the tickets were distributed in "blocks" (for example, numbers 100xxx-150xxx pulled from this stack, first come first served) so it only compounded the issue. I think I was in the 26th row on the left side for that first night... not bad seats by a long shot but they'd have been much closer without all of those circumstances coming into play.

So is this what is going on? Are some people confusing their default board names with their actual 10C #? I know it appeared that I had a number somewhere in the 35,XXX range after the big changes to the new board, but my real # number is no where near this. I wonder...

My post wasn't to argue...the guy who posted all the seating info didn't even list section 307 so that's why I posted my spot

sec 112 was pretty good in my opinion for my buddy....he had no complaints

are you thinking he was actually a higher #?

Agree 100%... 4 of us drove out from Detroit: me and my friend sat in my seats (141xxx) and we were side stage section 114. The other 2 guys sat in 10C seats (66xxx) and they were 5th row center.

the trend I'm seeing is that lots of people "had a buddy" or "knew a guy" that got bad seats...lots of hysteria over rumors.

I'm 133,xxx and was row 23 (the magic number in the United Center). From the brief conversations I overheard it seemed everyone around me had similar numbers. Based on the numbers attending that show, I couldn't have asked for anything more...

i bet this is true. all the 150xxx peeps were in the same section at the show. i started asking because there was some guy in the 10c line at CHI #1 flipping out because he was not where 'he thought he should've been.'

was there some kind of screw up where some people didn't get seated right? who knows. i just can't believe people weren't excited to be at a PJ show and were all focused on what they didn't get. i mean fuck people, did you see the merch for night #1? $35 backspacer t-shirt?? :?

Interesting. Has anyone been able to quantitatively contradict their seat location with a valid 10C # yet? Or is trying to clarify this all just busywork for the 10C?

With all due respect, anyone expecting "great seats" after joining the club post 1999, is just plain high... So for a 300xxx and certainly a 400xxx to be bitching, it's silly. Your reasons for joining should have been the single and Deep magazine. Your ticket purchases should be thru Ticketmaster or elsewhere. Sorry to say it this way.... These shows have taken the souls out of some people here. Everyone at this point feels that much more entitled to this band than the next guy. That's bogus. Now you know there is a chance in the future you may not be happy with your seats. So next time, buy elsewhere. I promise the Ten Club won't mind... or care for that matter. Peace, Mike

with my crappy 314xxx number i was beyond thrilled both nights to get the seats i did.

thankful to Be there, something that is getting lost in all of the number crunching.

it was a ten club ticket heavy show. period.
