    help me out here....please....

if I stay at club quarters(downtown)...which is the same place I stayed in 06.....

Will I have any problem getting to and from the show using public transportation???

I can get club quarters and airfare for $450.....

That Holiday in they are taking about here would run me $700(using expedia).....FUCK THAT!!!!

    Also.....

I can get The Marriot (airport) for around $450(and it looks like it is actually connected to the airport terminal B).....Is this a good idea??? Can I get downtown using public transportation???

Im leaning towards staying at club quarters(it was decent, clean, close to touristy shit...hehehe)
Good location. Use this to get Cab estimates http://www.taxifarefinder.com/main.php? ... iladelphia

Marriott at The Airport is a decent place. Close to The Spectrum, far from The City...I would not take that route if you want to do some exploring in the city. If you are ONLY going to The Spectrum, then cool, because yoiu will have no problem finding a Cab to the spectrum...but still, far from everything but the airport...
If I stay at club quaters will I have any problem taking a train to and from the shows???

In 03 when I stayed at The Holiday Inn(I think airport) I had all sorts of problems with trains....It seemed the trains stopped running at certain hours and some were not running at all.....I bet I spent $150 in cab fares....It was a disaster......plus the Holiday Inn was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at(and I have stayed at some dumps)
    Take me piece by piece.....
Till there aint nothing left worth taking away from me.....

I booked the Embassy Suites using priceline for $75/night plus taxes and fees. Might be a little high, but oh well.

This is exactly why I booked the Holiday Inn at the arena..fuck that train and cab bullshit after a night of drinking and all..much rather just stumble back to the hotel bar and chill..

Club Quarters is on 16th. It's two blocks from Broad Street (which would be 14th Street). The Broad Street subway has a stop right next to the venue. So I would stay there. Plus it's easier to get to the touristy stuff I've never been to. One of these days I'll walk the 15 blocks to Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell check them out. ;)

After the show in 05, most of us went to McFadden's across the street from the venue and if we're out too late for the train, cabs come buy there all night. Shouldn't be more than a 10-12 dollar cab ride to Club Quarters from there late at night.

We are staying at the Residence Inn (Marriott) got it for $152 per night (plus tax) off their website. We won't use their parking though ($42 per night!) - there are parking garages close that are much cheaper where you self-pay into a machine. We stayed at this one for NIN last August and it was nice. Its also just a couple blocks from the City Hall subway station, then just take the orange line to Pattison and you're there. BTW Hopstop is in beta for Philly now, so you can go to it and type in your addresses and find out which subways to take. In Philly in particular I'd rather stay in Center City as there's so much to do.

Any updates on the group rate at the Holiday Inn Stadium?
Now that they announced the last dates I'll hopefully be there for Friday and Sat shows and would be very grateful to get in the group rate.

In at the Radisson for $75! I think people were getting Priceline here for a bit less, but the 10C reservations are cancelable, in case something comes up, that makes it a little better for me.

    Thanks 10C!

Also working on a group rate at the Holiday Inn at Stadium (about $100). Not as nice as the other places, but is decent 3 star (stayed there in 05).

For those who don't want to pay for parking, don't care for Philly sites, or drive, this could be another option.

Also working on a group rate at the Holiday Inn at Stadium (about $100). Not as nice as the other places, but is decent 3 star (stayed there in 05).

For those who don't want to pay for parking, don't care for Philly sites, or drive, this could be another option.

I'm only going to be there for the two final shows and probably won't have time for much of the touristic stuff, pluss all pre and post parties are close to the venue. So I'd appreciate getting in on that group rate if you can get it ;)

If you get a group rate there....let me know. I'll jump in on a room. Thanks!!

FYI..if you go to starwood.com and use the promo code ZBT, they are having a promotion for the 2nd nite at 50% off. For the Sheraton Society Hill its $283 total for 2 nites for a double, which is $70/nite/person if you are sharing. Also, the Sheraton Philly City Center, its $239 total for 2 nites for a double, which is $60/nite/person if you are sharing.

Just a heads up for those of us who are still looking for a room in Philly.
