    Hey gang,
So... only a week away & someone just backed out of our hotel room! Meaning we now have one open bed spot, Thu-Sun at Holiday Inn (Stadium), walking distance to venue but the rails to downtown are right nearby. Ideal situation for anyone going solo to only the weekend shows. Will cost you about $40 per night, rooming with me, my hubby, & another chick. We have 1 room with 2 double beds (yes, you'd be sleeping with a stranger ;)) PM me if interested, & have ur references prepared 8-)!
    Thanks, Colleen

    PM sent. :D
I'm a friend of Mike Dziama's by the way :D
Thx SOLAT319, I'm editing my post now

  • Booked the always outstanding Extended Stays America Airport yesterday for $45.00 per night, total $215 for four nights with taxes and everything. I figure for the roughly $400 I would save at this point I can drive to the venue, use transit to get downtown, drink like a fish and still come out even..... My wife is not in love with this though, she knows this means she will be handling the driving.

I did splurge and get a VIP parking pass off of Ebay for $20.

Just found out the person I was supposed to be staying with in the area isn't going to be in town. Being on a flight crew in the Navy sometimes has that problem. So now I am desperately looking for a hotel room. I also have as of this moment an extra ticket for 10/28 and 10/30.

EDIT: The one for 10/30 has been claimed.

Okay, so where did you get the $45 rate? Did you do it through Priceline?
  • Yes, I booked through priceline. I started at 3 star and got kicked back to 2 star ........ at this point it is whatever though, the world series has created a perfect storm.

$45 a night for a two room suite isn't bad at all though. Don't be too bummed about that. Obviously there's no guarantee I'd get the same hotel if I were to bid now, but I may likely end up at the airport. I've been holding out to the very last minute on booking anything. I don't even have Tuesday or Wednesday tickets yet. May just be buying those outside the Spectrum.

Oh man, I got a $60 rate and I thought I did good! Then again I'm just there for 1 night.

How easy is it to get from Extended Stay to the stadium/downtown? I figure I'll just taxi.

I have yet to book a hotel, I am going only to the Halloween show, but may try to stay through sunday and get a ticket to game 4 (that is WAY up in the air)... however I work for a restaurant that is part of a hotel and I get discounts at any Sage/Marriott hotels. Anyone need to split a room?

We'll be staying at the Econo Lodge...it says it's a 4-minute drive to the Spectrum and a 19 minute walk.

Does anybody know about the traffic? and is the walk is actually a lot closer than google gives me?
