Online Tutorials
Anyone use any online guitar tutorial or lessons? I just signed up for Tim Pierce’s masterclass. Seems like it would be fun. I think you need to know more theory before getting into it though but haven’t started yet. I need to get a basic understanding of theory though if I am going to get better than I am today.

Speakers Technical Help?
It appears that one of my stereo speakers is completely dead. I have the Audioengine a5+. It is the passive speaker that is not working. I have already unplugged and replugged in the connectors, tightened them. They are in the right place, etc. When I touch the speaker there is no vibration either. I made an appointment…

Ed’s Guild in the Long Way video from Ohana
Ed’s playing a four string Guild in the first half of the song and I’d never seen one before, with it’s little skinny baby neck. I couldn’t find anything on the internets about it either. Anyone know anything? https://youtu.be/X8-Kzm_jogY

Camelflower - "Botheration"
Hellooooo, Some of you may remember my impassioned rants at how awful I thought Gigaton was/is... Please feel free to enact your revenge and tell me how awful my little lockdown project is - I wrote and recorded an album, "Botheration" for the shits and gigs. Would greatly appreciate the listens whether you enjoy it or not…

Right now I have them In those ikea brand shelves. What’s best - milk crates? Obviously want to keep them from getting damaged / warped as much as…

Telecaster refinish
Looking for y’all’s thoughts and advice here. I’m in New Zealand where guitars ain’t cheap but this popped up on my radar and it’s a fucking travesty whoever carved this thing up but could result in a nice price for a made in the USA tele. What would refinishing this thing look like?…

Pedal Switching Systems
Anyone here have experience with pedal switching systems? I just ordered the Boss ES-8 so I will write a review on here once I put it through its paces. Will probably take me a while to hook it up and get going because I have a few midi pedals and want to set it up for wet/dry to two amps.

Mike’s Tele Color
Not an important question but… does any Fender guru know the colour of Mike’s tele? I can’t decide if it’s butterscotch blonde or vintage blonde looks vintage blonde in this photo but might just be the lighting color?

Hey all! Just wondering if anyone has any experience with the Behringer PB1000 - specifically whether there are hum issues, and how the quality is (also whether they'd buy again). Much appreciated!

Live recording at home question for you pros!
So, my Macbook Pro died last summer, which was my main device for home recording. My set up would be using a Mackie pro mixer with live mics, running into my Macbook. My DAW has always been Garageband. Now without a portable device to track drums, guitars live, I need a portable device that: 1) I can track drums and…

Fender will no longer use ash bodies for production-line guitars
I also posted the link to this article in the AMT global warming thread but thought it would get some interest here in the Gearheads thread as it relates to the quality (or potential degrading of quality) on Fender instruments. This is not an encouraging change and does not bode well for Fender guitars and the…

So devastated over my broken banjo head could anyone help?
My beloved banjo fell out of my gig bag onto my driveway. If sounded like a piano falling from the 2nd floor. NIGHTMARE. This banjo means the world to me. It was autographed by a lot of my favorite musicians. (Everyone in PJ, except Stone) I’ve had this banjo since 2000. It was my first big purchase back then ($225 from a…

Back together after almost 30 years
It’s been almost 30 years since Mark Evans (AKA Blair) and I played in a band together. Well he’s still writing incredible songs and this is just beautiful - inspired by modern times and originally posted mid 2020 in the early stages lockdown. The other day, thanks to a bit of home recoding magic, I added a drum track.…
