If you are worried about ticket prices you shouldn't go because you can't afford it.0

What do you think, they just sit there with the info in hand and wait for someone to ask after it? Come on. The response was a little blunt, to be sure, but if you had to answer god knows how many e-mails about how people haven't renewed lapsed accounts, and why aren't PJ playing in their backyard, and whatever else, you'd be annoyed too.
Geez. You'd think the people working the 10C would be doing it as a labor of love more than anything else. 10C or not its a basic issue of customer service. They're there to sell it to you, and you're there to buy it. They've had going on 20 years of time to learn how act like a professional business. The whole mom and pop store image is old with all the traffic. Maybe the guy who wrote the e-mail was having a bad day or whatever, but shitty service is shitty service no matter who they work for.Once in a while you can get shown the light, in the strangest of places if you look at it right.0 -

I hate that how when a band announces a tour, the tickets go on sale and you don't get to know until the time you purchase tickets. And if you don't have enough money, then tough luck.
Last year when guns n roses went on sale (shit concert) tickets were $170 which I found out at the last minute. I was planning to get 3 tickets. With bookings on top, I fell 10 cents shorty of 3 tickets. If I had know before, I would of accounted for it.

Average ticket prices for today's ticket market? To me that is a very smart ass answer. For one thing its vague, the other problem is it gives off a kind of don't bother us tone. The money isn't the issue at all. It just lacks any professionalism. Details aren't available at this time would have been a better option.Once in a while you can get shown the light, in the strangest of places if you look at it right.0 -
The Bush rebate checks should cover at least a couple concerts for our down and out members. Thats money you wouldnt have had so why not blow it on PJ shows?0
-
Never thought of it that way. That check would cover at least two if not three shows..0

Ths mini tour was obviously just finalized, based on the delay from Wed to Thur for the announcement, they had issues they were still working out.
The fan club sales have to go before regular on sales. They have to do the 10club sales next week to accomplish this.
When Ticketmaster announces the sale of tix for a show, how much time do you have before the sale?
Its usually 2-4 days...most shows get announced mid week and tix go on sale for a vast majority on Saturdays.
4 days is plenty to decide on a local show, for most it is a 30 second decision. The only issue might be for travellers...but the decision to go can be made and that leaves 2-3 months to work out travel arrangements.
how about giving us a straight official answer about whether or not there will be more shows later in the year. "all that have been planned at this time" is a bullshit answer. they know if more shows are in the works. planning for concerts of this size are planned well in advance. maybe things arent finalized, but even a vague "we are planning to announce additional dates in the upcoming weeks" would be something.0 -

Agreed.
& As far as all those saying, "If you can't afford it, you shouldn't be going." I think for more people it's the point more then the actual 20 bucks. But, if 20 bucks is the issue for some people, than that doesn't mean they shouldn't be going, it means they love the band that much that they wanna know how many pennies to scrape together. I remember a time When PJ didn't want "average prices for this market" for their fans. But obviously those days are long gone. Personally, I'm okay with paying the 80 bucks or whatever a ticket, well, cuz they are one of 2 bands that I love seeing more than anything, but I think it's
a bit much...not for seeing the band itself, but for everything they used to stand for."Oh, a flower you are to my land..."0 -

Tix for us in '06 were about $115 (each ticket) and I'd expect them to be more than that next time we're LUCKY enough to have PJ tour down here.
We'll all be so GRATEFUL for a PJ tour!!!!!!!Send them down here!!!!!!!!!!!
I wonder if bands will continue to charge stupid prices now that our $ is up at 0.94USD
In theory it should be more or less USA price with a travel surcharge on top....
But yeah quit whingeing. If I want to see PJ this year it will cost $3500
I'm almost crazy enough to do it

Can we at least stop all this talk like they've sold out their ethics?
you have kids and you realize you don't have anyhting for retirement.
they deserve to come out of this with a few bucks.
They're not young and this is not the 90s

I have no problem with their ticket prices for this tour, because contrary to what a lot are complaining about on here, their tix are still below average for a band of their stature, but don't act like they're destitute and have never made anything off a tour. they've got many of those "few bucks" saved up over the years. millions of em im sure.2003 Mansfield III

What other factores seem to be involved in prices such as mean ticket prices industry wide? Any others? If we get enough factors we could run a regression.0 -
here we are the night before tickets go on sale and still not a single price
real nice
and anyone who actually defends this nonsense with blind love for the band, well, eat a dick0
