    A few months ago my uncle approached me and stated, "Off He Goes is a great song. It has to be about Kurt Cobain, with the lyrics: 'there he goes with his [perfectly] [unkept] whore' " ... (Other misheard words replaced "perfectly" and "unkept", but I can't remember for the life of my what they where.) He then said, "Those are great lyrics. They're about Courtney Love, right?" Heh heh. :)

    My brother thought that "sorry you didn't see him but I'm glad we talked..." in Alive was actually "sorry you didn't see him but I'm playing guitar". I haven't been able to sing the correct lyrics since his confession. Every time I hear Alive now, those are the lyrics I hear.

    Here's a lyric my friends and I always used to sing wrong from Rats: "Licked the dirt off Olajuwon's feet.." Thought since they were b-ball fans they were giving a shout out to the old Rockets' center!

    OMG how mortfiying, I think in relation to PJ songs I've heard all these mistaken lryics (of the posts I got thru) and thought they were real, the oceans one I still believed in until tonite!!! Not sure if this has already been mentioned, but there's a funny cartoony thing on the internet soemwhere that is a filmclip to yellow ledbetter with all the misheard lyrics, it is very funny. the link was posted on the porch message board ages ago, but I'll b stuffed if I can remember it. sorry if this has already been posted, along with the link!!!

    I used to think it was 'Thought police'. Before I bought Vs, A friend of mine copied it to a tape (a long time ago) for me so I didn't have the lyrics. I didn't even know the title of the song until I bought my own copy because I couldn't read his hand writing
