Today's lunch. Ground sirloin, a ton of mushrooms and onions, and brown gravy (not made from scratch, but basically a demi-glace cube from Japan, a bit of worcestershire and a splash of black vinegar). I swear there is a 1/3lb. formed patty under there.

    That looks and sounds outstanding.

Thanks Speedy! Upscale salisbury steak! It is one of my go to meals when it is cold. No sides today although it is great with rice. I do not need dinner after eating this at 2pm.

    Salisbury steak.
50 years ago my mom would get some tv dinners and throw them in the freezer. Us kids thought they were the greatest thing on Earth.

Salisbury steak was always a highlight for me. Hahaha
I was also a fan of the fried chicken.

Same!  TV dinners and Stouffer's meat lasagne. But salisbury steak is what inspired me to create this dish. I will have to figure out how to make the apple dessert!

I love me some family style Mexican food. 1 chicken and 1 beef chimichanga with rice and beans. Complimentary chips and a big margarita

Mid 80's living w my uncle and my aunt didn't cook.  He would take us food shopping and load the shopping cart w TV dinners.

They would literally be gone in a week.

7 of us eating them.  Usually 5 but we had stragglers come in and eat, lol.

Breakfast and record shopping at Easy Street is one of my favorite weekend activities. The huevos rancheros with chorizo is my go to.

If you mean about the eggs dish, not..soutzouki is heavy, don't recommend it for breakfast..the other two definitely not..

This morning I had Katracho. It’s a traditional Honduran breakfast consisting of eggs, chorizo, black beans, fried plantains with avocado queso fresco, and sour cream. A great way to start the day.

Ive decided to make a small version of a Thanksgiving dinner today. I purchased a smallish turkey, 14lbs yesterday. Only sides will be some potatoes and of course green beans.
Going to be plenty of leftovers.
