I cant stp laughing! What a funny bunch of people we are, love this thread!
Well, my cousin and I used to try and write the lyrics down so we could sing along to all the pj songs and we came up with this for " Jeremy spoke in class today"...."Jeremys smoking...plastic" . But you know, maybe he was? And even now, its still hard for me to sing Even Flow without singing " Rests his head on a FELLOW made of concrete". My mum used to think silverchairs lyrics for Pure Massacre were "Steel matchie car". Haha!

My friend used to sing "He just smiled and gave me a bite of Mike's sandwich" in Men at Work's "Down Under" instead of "....gave me a vegimite sandwich"...

    Oh my gosh we laughed...

  • Misheard lyrics, i was talking yesterday with my girlfriend about the pelican story (i read somebody who thought "fortyfive virgins and a pelican")
    About me:
In Marker in the sand i heard: "those undecided needing halfway to be free", instead of "Those undecided, Needn't have faith to be free", is the last.
In immortality: "vacant is the world"

I used to think in Spin The Black Circle when he says 'I see this needle, I see my hand, drop drop droppin it down, oh so gently' he was saying:

'drop drop droppin it down, oh so genuine'

  • My husband use to think Elton John's Tiny Dancer was "Tony Danza"...That's a scary thought unless you are Angela and Mona.

Whenever we hear it we sing loudly and proudly "Hold me closer Tony Danza"!
  • When I first heard Life Wasted I thought he sang "Death came around for the weary song." When I looked up the lyrics I felt like a dumbass!!!
    "Darth Vader would say 'Impressive'."

    which part?

Also in sad the lyrics on the site say "to live within our embrace" I've always thought it was "deliberate in our embrace" still not really sure which is right...
  • The pelican one got me too. :D I think there are a few others but I have to remember them.

Back in the 80s I remember this song used to come on by a band called cutting crew which went "woah, I just died in your arms tonight, must have been something you said."

I always used to think he said "I ate" at the end instead, lol

On other sights it says "he lit a match in bed". On the site I think its "He let ‘em as he laid in bed"
  • Jeremy spoke in class today...

    I used to hear:

    Generally spoken, that's me...
"this one, anytime I say love if you wanna say love, uh, say it, and if you say it you might as well say it loud, and if you don't feel like sayin' it, don't say it, but if you feel it, certainly say it..."
