Hell yes. Pls. Already gonna be in town for Oasis the 26-29th. Even if PJ played the 26th, thatd be great!

  • Question, why is everyone always so hot for PJ to play massive stadiums? I wouldn't go to see them at a football stadium for free. And the baseball parks are not much of a better option imo. I guess I saw them in a stadium once, opening for U2 and honestly, it was not their finest moment. That's not a great setting for PJ imo, not that hockey arenas are "intimate" in any way but that is their sweet spot for me

For Soldier Field, it means that they are playing only a 4 hour Amtrak ride away. I will go if they play there.
  • Would be cool if they could book it for 7.11.25, the 30th anniversary of the legendary 7.11.95 show.  And would be even cooler if they reserved all the good seats and GA for the fan club.  Maybe some moshing, body surfing, Ed climbs a light tower.  Okay, maybe just some good music.
I've seen quite a few Pearl Jam shows.

I don't see Ed even entertaining the thought of a climb / crowd surfing etc.

I'm seeing more and more shows happen there. Oasis, System of a Down and Avenged Sevenfold.... It would be neat, but when was the last time PJ played a NFL stadium...?
What does that have to do with anything?

They don't play NFL stadiums. That's what it has to do with anything. Let me condense my statement. I don't believe they're going to play Soldier Field.
Just because they DON’T, doesn’t mean they WON’T.

Besides, they just played SEVEN football stadiums last month🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️😂😂

Although the return of the band to Aus was exciting and the size of the crowds were impressive, Engie, Metricon and Marvel Stadiums are not comparable in size to NFL stadiums.

A few mentioning PJ35. What’s the significance of 35 years?
that a band member is still alive. I gotta feelin, a feeling deep inside if one of the original 4 is gone, this band is done. Just a matter of time. Saw the last show of Lynard Skynard with an OG band member in San Antonio 2 years ago. They still tour, now a 100% cover band. PJ will die sooner than we think
    Wow. That's bleak.o
Not trying to be. I passed on TOTD and Tom Petty because I was gonna “catch em next time…”

just being realistic. Hell Rickey Henderson just passed at 65

Fair enough. However, most nfl stadiums seem to be around 65-75 thousand capacity. Some more, some less. But if an artist isn’t doing an “in the round” or center stage setup, their attendances numbers are pretty much around 45-50-55k. Look up any stadium sized artist and look at the numbers they draw. The Peppers at Sofi in 2022 was 46,900. And these numbers are the norm out there🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

I'm not a fan of shows at Soldier Field. Most seats you're what feels like miles away and just watching the screens. That said, for PJ I'd go of course.

October 1990 was the first official Pearl Jam show.  The PJ20 film material was put together in 2010.
Then the PJ20 tour kicked off the following year in 2011.  But the concept of PJ20 is based on 20 years from the original show.
They should lay a show at The Ramp if it still exists for Ten Club members only.

Maybe it's just in my head but as someone who listens to PJ radio all day I am noticing a slight uptick in playing songs from the 1995 Soldiers Field show.
    Probably means nothing.
