    If you're bothered by this, but wouldn't be bothered about people talking about, say, Joni Mitchell on a Pearl Jam message board, then you need to get more familiar with the work of these younger artists.

    I think Dua Lipa is pretty cool in terms of pop artists.  But I wouldn't expect her to be discussed in the Pearl Jam forum.
    Hope you enjoy your concerts though.  Fun times with multiple awesome tours going on.  I'm excited only one week until I see Pearl Jam in LA.  Oops, gotta put it in complaint form...  I have to wait a whole week to see Pearl Jam live.

    You're not actually being real. Your opinion is actually outside the mainstream. These are critically acclaimed and massively commercial successful artists. It's O.K. that you don't like them, but calling them "straight trash" is objectively ridiculous.

    Dua Lipa is fantastic. But, again, why wouldn't you expect other musical artists to be discussed here. Pearl Jam themselves routinely talk about other artists, including Eddie and Jeff both recently talking publicly about Taylor Swift, for whom they had only praise.

    I didn't say I don't expect other artists.  I said I don't expect other pop artists.  I'd fully expect same genre discussions
