I saw two shows in Vancouver and that’s not enough.

Almost 18 years ago I decided to get married and eventually have two kids. These three bleed me dry of all my money… money I could be using to see Pearl Jam in Las Vegas… Los Angeles… Seattle!!!

I mean, they played Hail Hail last night and I wasn’t there… because I have kids!!

(Is that a good complaint? 🤷‍♂️)
Excellent complaint, that I share.  I have not seen PJ in any way, shape or form since.....2012?  Eddie vedder solo in FL was my last.  So yeah, I'm complaining that it's been such a long time.  Childcare, money, work, all contributed to this.
You could do what I did and take the kids to see Pearl Jam! They'll make it not as fun in some ways, but perhaps more fun in others.
I offered my extra Van 2 ticket to both my kids and both declined (rather see SZA or 21 Savage).

One day they’ll both regret their decision.

Nah taking kids ruins it . Unless you are using them as tambo bait which if honest you are if in g.a
This was on full display last night. A guy brought his young son and made him hold up a sign for a tambourine from the beginning of the set in the second row of the pit dead center. Ed saw it fairly early on and acknowledged it, and the kid stopped holding it up. Later, the dad started harassing the kid to hold the sign up, and the kid was annoyed, telling him "He saw it!" Ed ended up giving tambourines to everyone and their brother (including me, and I wasn't even looking for one!) but not this kid. Finally, at the end, the people around the kid pointed him out and Ed said, "Oh, you didn't get one?" and brought out another to give to him.
... can't stand the kids begging for gifts...

Agreed it needs to stop these little kids don't even know what's going on. It's all projection from the parent for a little bit of eye contact or a tambo for the parent to then" look after"

Both nights in Vegas, I had kids next to me. Two young girls on Night 1, two young boys on Night 2. They seemed so out of place. They didn't sing, they didn't dance, they didn't raise their arms to the sky when everybody else was doing that. Any time I glanced at them, they just had blank looks on their faces. The girls' parents were seated elsewhere in the arena. I presume the same was true for the boys, but they were not very talkative. They spent the entire time between Deep Sea Diver and Pearl Jam with their heads buried in their phones watching an endless stream of videos.
I gather speed from you fucking with me.

I actually wouldn’t mind quiet people next to me versus drunks bumping into me while singing and dancing, unless I myself would be too drunk to notice.

We need more screaming on the bootlegs. Nothing better than loud, obnoxious screaming in between songs.

PJ should hire the Portland Screamer to be at all their shows. She could be the hype person.
    It's a hopeless situation...

Just watch one of those YouTube shorts of the band playing Hail Hail the other night and the crowd looked dead! I’m hoping there was some good old fashion manipulation going on by the one uploading the video as I would have lost my poop if I was there!

I think there are too many boots where it feels like the crowd isn't mixed up/micked up good enough. Like Eddie handing over the singing and you can barely hear the crowd. Like they are playing in an empty room.

    Mix the crowd up.

    LIKE KISS DOES*

*But please don't add fake crowd noises

Reading about all the bored crowds is a bummer.

Especially when the worlds most famous arena is waiting for them, but they refuse to play enough shows for their most passionate fans. The band can be a real bummer

Wait so now even with GA the crowds here in the states are lame 😂😂 I remember when the fans said to the band enough with the same seating process the band acknowledged and changed it to rows 1-2 and not sure if it was 9-10 to be given out randomly to fans so the band wouldn’t have look at the same folks all the time give the upfront crowd a boost of energy. Now it’s strictly GA and premium tickets getting the best seats the crowds are still lame 😂😂

Say what you want about the people that are constantly up front but I will say from what I have seen most of them rock out pretty hard.

For a crowd not to be "lame" it takes the whole building to contribute. When you are up front you have no clue whats going on behind you.

I like this because in my experience it's the same every single person who queued all night and got rail got into every single song and had the time of their life every song.

I have the opposite of a complaint, but we don't have an "Official Thankful For" thread, so I'll post it here, and of course feel free to complain that I am

I'm thankful that only one cover song is being played per show.  And it's cool that each city is getting a different song, so that adds to the uniqueness of each show.

So there's my complaint.  A cover song was repeated :disappointed:

I don't know what people are talking about. I've been at all six shows, and the crowds have been anything but bored. I'm also a native New Yorker (and Knicks fan) who has seen them eight times at MSG and doesn't understand why people have convinced themselves that it's something automatically magical. It's actually a crowd with a disproportionate number of rich people and celebrities who are there to be seen.

That's what you get for having 50 year olds in the first couple of GA lines.
In Europe, they'll be "moshed" out of the front rows.
    Kidding.

    But as for (half)serious complaints.

Funny. I didn't even realize this was going on. I suggested that they do that in one of the cover songs threads. That would be funny if they read it. I'm sure they read these posts all of the time... B) AND they didn't play Baba at my show, which made me reeeeally happy.

It’s more about how brutal it is getting tickets at the garden and the rest of the east, while reading indifferent comments here and  available tickets multiply like bunnies everywhere outside of the northeast

One of the reasons those tickets are hard to get is that a lot of fans have sold themselves on the idea that shows in the northeastern cities are special, which creates extra demand by people who want to travel to them, when the reality is that special shows happen all over the place. Two of the best PJ shows I've ever seen were in Glendale, Arizona, of all places. The No Code show was in Moline, Illinois. There have been great MSG shows and ordinary ones. The worst show I ever saw was at Fenway. So, you never know.
