I use different emails but my TM account is tied to my Apple ID. I guess it becomes "linked" by saving tickets from the account to a particular apple walletdanlee1095 said:
Wouldn't Apple Wallets need to be tied to a TM account for this scenario to have credibility? For example, what if your TM email was different than your Apple ID?PJNB said:

or if you didn't know this was a thing, and download tickets to someone else phone and it created a permanent link... shrug. This seems good and bad. Scalpers are figuring out fan2fan, and I think the same tools we use to give tickets to a spouse or friends, are also being used by flippers. Maybe it helps with the bot issue?I suppose it doesn't stop resellers from making brand new accounts to buy tickets, then sharing the account. IF it permanently links to someones wallet, no harm no foul for the reseller?0

I was reading about this issue in the Apple forums. Some people who have logged into someone else’s account on their phone and downloaded tickets into their wallet then have in some instances got that account associated with their wallet. Then it won’t let them download their own subsequent tickets into their own wallet without getting them disabled. A few people on the Apple forum have had this happen to them.0

What initially was an effort to curb scalping has now turned into (what seems so far) as a total mess for the fans. Hopefully it’s not the case. We’ll have to wait for Portland to find out.0

Or if you have two TM accounts, can they both be linked to one Apple ID? Or are tickets in the second account just in limbo and can't be used by anyone??GlowGirl said:I was reading about this issue in the Apple forums. How do I know if a ticket in my Apple Wallet that was added from my wife's TM account is valid? I was able to add her GA's for Seattle to my iPhone Apple Wallet and the "Hold Near Reader" icon is moving. As long as there's not an error message that says something like "pass deactivated, ticket associated with a different apple ID " it should be good. Usually if it's invalid it will say "activating" first and then give you the errordanlee1095 said:How do I know if a ticket in my Apple Wallet that was added from my wife's TM account is valid? Your F5 skills are equally as impressive as your expertise on this topic. Vegas and SEA GA's successfully in Wallet - phew. Thank you good sir. I was thinking perhaps the new security measure was not "turned on" yet for LV and SEA, but there were definitely new prompts when I added them:SHZA said:

i) on TM App it stated "Add to Wallet to enter the event" (with a button that said "Add to Apple Wallet", and even a background image of the fellas, almost with a little judgy serious face on EV, JA and Stoney - kind of amazing actually give the context); and,
ii) when adding to the Wallet itself, the prompt was a white screen that read, "Wallet: Ticketmaster requires Face ID for enhanced security. Your passes will only be available on devices that are signed in with XXXXXXX@gmail.com." (which is my Apple ID).

This is all super confusing to me lol. So I have 1 ticket to MSG N1 and there’s a chance I might not be able to make it. The ticket is already in my Apple wallet. The “hold near reader” messages moves as well. If I decide to end up selling F2F at some point, is this going to be an issue?0

If what we are saying here is true, I guess both my TM account and my wife's TM account are / were already associated with my Apple ID. And if what GlowGirl said is true from the Apple Forums (and it makes sense IMO), my wife won't be able to access her own tickets from her TM account into her Wallet. Which is fine because she is not going to any PJ shows without me anyway...PJNB said:

Does anyone know how / when the link from a TM account to an Apple ID originates? No. Just remove it from your wallet and list it in F2F or better get since msg can be transferred, transfer it to someone here.Robdog983 said:This is all super confusing to me lol.
