Foo Fighters back at Fenway next year. Let’s see if PJ follows suit in late summer.

More than trolls, they really should have PJs permission to use an image in a promo. I mean, if it's an image from a past Lollapalooza maybe could argue it's an example photo from past events but thats rough.

Seeing from some media outlets on twitter that PJ and Lollapalooza Brasil are close to closing for March '24.
FWIW when they played in 2018, it was announced in late September, so the timeline fits

    South America March
Leg 1 Midwest/East Coast sheds and mixed arenas in May/June
Ballpark run BOS, Philly, Montana, Seattle in the fall
    AUS/NZ in November

    Like clockwork
I could see that happening for sure. I would imagine that the US legs wouldn't be too long, but still it makes sense. They love touring in SA & AUS/NZ as well. I don't think the middle of the country gets a ton of shows next year, maybe a couple.

As long as they make up the Indy show, throwing in an Ohio show or two would make sense.

I was debating with someone recently if I would go to South America.  (Not that South America would really care.)

I think I landed on no, with a possible exception for that arena in Chile that they played in 2018, if it isn’t too expensive to get there, and it could be combined with seeing some bucket list things in Chile.

    What are others’ thoughts?
Personally I’ve always dreamed of one day seeing them in South America and making a trip out of it where I could do some sightseeing. But don’t think I would do it for a festival. I just did the foo fighters at SHN (which was great), but it took me about a week to recover lol. It’ll also depend for me on where else PJ is playing next year. I’ve still never seen them in Seattle, so that’s toward the top of my list.

Cool thanks.  FF also had a #FF2024 post this morning so a fairly big tour announcement must be imminent.  Imagine PJ announcing an entire year of shows this far out... we can only dream

Agreed. I don't think the midwest sees much more than that, in my opinion. Maybe another location in the middle of the country or something while the gear is traveling from coast to coast.

So many bands are now announcing their full tour schedule. Blink 182 for example, announced their tour in October 2022, and had dates all the way up to February 2024 when they hit AUS/NZ.

Yeah I watched the stream and it looked like an awesome show. Unfortunately I was only able to make Fenway that year (which was also a blast). But next year, assuming they do Seattle, I’m going to do everything in my power to make that happen.

Foo Fighters also go out and play the same canned show with the same canned setlist with the same canned banter.  I’ll take Pearl Jam going out when they’re motivated to play, even if it means short notice, as opposed to seeing a scripted show like FF does.

Seattle is so on my bucket list

I would love to go back out to Seattle for a show. Our last duty station before we got out of the Navy was Whidbey Island. We loved it out there. I often wish we would have found a way to stay out there instead of moving to the Midwest.

It was my first time being in Seattle for any reason. Only had a bit less than 48 hours in town.  Managed to get a self guided walking tour, a little boat tour, and to see the Mopop thing which was then new.  Walked by the original Starbucks, saw the line, and decided to take a picture and then got coffee at the random Starbucks down the street.  Oh yeah, and saw the epic show.

His shows are pretty great. I recommend anyone check him/them out if you have the opportunity. Even if you don't think that's your type of music. And show up early to take in the scene. It's like going to a Dead show where they happen to play bluegrass.

First shows usually around may I believe. You can get snow into early April sometimes in Indy. Definitely late march.
